General Collin Powell: Trump is a National Disgrace

Also has some unkind words for HRC for bring dragged into the email fray. He also mentions concerns about her health (over a year ago). 

General Powell, a lifelong Republican endorsed Obama twice. 

So right wingers, I have offered you the following choices of spin. To save you the time and likely embarrassment of poor grammar, misspellings, and untruths, you can cut and paste from the following. As an aside, my personal favorite is number five. 

(Notice I have removed the salutation 'Gen." from these for your benefit so you don't have to acknowledge that he was a black war hero)

1) Powell was never a Republican. He was simply using the Republican party. 

2) Powell being black, thinks all Republicans are racist and will pull out the race card anytime he can. 

3) Powell, being  black, will not support a white male or the more extreme Powell being black, does not like white males (Editors note: you can choose both here).

4) Powell was a RINO, now he's not even a Republican so there is nothing to see here, move along. 

5) Powell's view of the world is outdated so he doesn't understand the modern dangers facing us like Donald Trump.

Powell laid out the case to the world to commit to toppling sadam Hussain. He had no plan of the aftermath of a failed state
Powell convinced Britain to share in this burden Brits labor party lost the prime ministers seat in Parliament
Powell war experience in gulf one was press Secretary hardly hero status
But tpi do bring up a valid point Powell is a Republican why? Cause growing up in the south demo rats wouldn't serve him coffee.

Actually, his advice to Bush was not to enter Iraq without such a plan. You understand that a General does not make a decision to enter a war right?

Google "You break it, you own it."

I'm sure you were a big Colin Powell fan prior to the end of the Bush Administration...

He also was a big Obama supporter...

As if he has any credibility after that...

Given that I supported and voted for Bush, I was. 

Why am I not surprised that the only thing you can criticize is who he supported. Yet another far right winger without the ability to engage in independent thinking.

The fact Bush camp hates Trump validates Trump campaign
Powell pushed for this war. Bush wasn't at the un stating the case for entering war under false pretense Powell was. But in the fuzzy shades of grey area right wrong truth and deception have very little meaning to professed intellectuals

Lets see what an far right-winger is defined as today...

#1: Support law & order, enforce the existing laws on the books - ALL OF THEM.

#2: Enforce the U.S. border. No Sanctuary cities, No gov benefits to illegals.

#3: Spend within your means, $19T is ridiculous. I carry no debt why does our government?

#4: Support the un-borns right to life...

#5: Show an id card to vote. Not unlike cashing a check, flying, getting a loan.

In 2016 this is an far right-winger.

It's always interesting to see killerb offer the uneducated perspective on an issue. 

It's sad how people turn on guys like McCain and Powell who serve their country trying to protect our country and the American way. But as soon as they exercise their American constitutional first Ammendment right and have an opinion some one doesn't like it suddenly becomes open season to attack their credibility.  

I just not get why some people are so unamerican and against vets, the constitution and the American way.

Its funny. The only people I ever see you call out are those you have political disagreements with.

Thus, I'll take everything you say with much less than a grain of salt. I'm sure, one of these days, you'll call out one of the various Trump supporters too.

In actuality, the only people I call out are those who first talk smack towards me. Anyone else, I engage in dialogue to exchange ideas/opinions.
I entered this political forum and attempted to engage in civil discussion, but it has been a fruitless endeavor to say the least.

Of course you will take what I say with "less than a grain of salt", as I happen to have an opinion that vary's from yours. That is in step with the demeaning tone you use when speaking to anyone who does not toe the same party line as yourself. 

When you see me engage anyone whom I see as being a supporter of HRC, I do not default to calling them "deplorables" or "low information" or "racists" "homophobes" "uninformed" "unintelligent" "fear mongerers" (I'm quite sure you are familiar with the list of derogatory names, so I will stop here). 
I simply question them as to why they would support HRC. 
Should anyone respond with "she's not Trump" then I have no response. To me, that is a valid reason.
Should anyone be foolish enough to suggest she is a strong, trustworthy candidate, then I generously supply facts as to why that person is grossly mistaken. 
It's a simple approach.

Again, I get that you call out those you disagree with. I never called you out but so be it. It goes with the territory. 

I respect others opinions. I debate others assertions of facts that are untrue (like yours about false light laws). I respect your opinions. I will debate you on assertions of facts that are untrue.

Mc Cain spent years in a pow camp turned down a early release and stayed to support the troops there. Obviously a hero . Powell pointed at a map with a pointer explaining the retaking of Kuwait. Huh he is a hero? Hello is this earth.....

Just to chime in a rare post of appreciation
I actually respect you posters on any public forum
As we all realize as this thread correctly and subtlety points out is that everyone's online finger is subject to being hacked. This thread is commentating on General Powell's stolen property his personal emails to his close friends. Those that have the nuts so to speak to brandish their personal thoughts on an open forum deserves the protection of our first amendment. In the military they state I may or may not agree with you or.your assessment of this situation But gladly stans.up next to you to defend your right to express it.

Not to continue to beat a dead horse.here but do you believe Colin Powell was injured by a crime in that his intellectual property was taken and published without his consent and that profit from this theft was.achieved as.network news made money and profit in disclosing the contents of.said property through advertising and marketing strategies.

Honestly I think of all vets that enlist and put their lives on the line as heroes.   You may think about bets differently and lack the respect hat I have for them and that is fine, we can agree to disagree on the respect that we show to vets.  

But let's get real here.  You mention mccain's service record in Vietnam,  can you tell me about powell's service record in Vietnam? 

Do you know anything about powell's service record to his country? 

Or are you coming in with the low information uneducated perspective as trump supporter that wants to blast the credibility of someone that does not think trump is fit for president.

I never know why when a vet exercises his constitutional first amendment in having an individual opinion why it suddenly becomes open season with a war on vets and questioning their service.  Completely disgraceful IMHO, but seems to be how some people think
