WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Hillary Clinton has fed speculation that she might run for the White House in 2016 by telling an audience in Canada that she would like to see a woman president in the United States in her lifetime.

"Let me say this, hypothetically speaking, I really do hope that we have a woman president in my lifetime," Clinton told a private audience in Toronto. "And whether it's next time or the next time after that, it really depends on women stepping up and subjecting themselves to the political process, which is very difficult."

Clinton, a Democrat who was secretary of state under President Barack Obama, a former senator from New York and is the wife of former President Bill Clinton, is said to be undecided whether to seek the presidency in 2016.

Many Democrats and Republicans in the United States are expecting her to run, although the 65-year-old Clinton has said she needed to rest after four years as a globe-trotting secretary of state.

At post 7....who is the hope for the country? Nobody from either party will change the status quo. I had hoped Obama would but he took cronyism, greed, instant gratification and big government to whole new levels

Hiroshima was nuked in 1945. Detroit last had a Republican mayor in 1962. Guess which city is mostly rubble now?

    Thanks.

Hiroshima was nuked in 1945. Detroit last had a Republican mayor in 1962. Guess which city is mostly rubble now?

    Thanks.

I think everything is going good considering the last moron we had .

Stock market has doubled, unemployment is down, housing is coming back, interest rates are stable. Wars are winding down..

The only ones complaining are the losing Repulsicans. !  LOL !

Only 2.5 more years to suffer. Tilt, 14Roadapples, 3117, Slimy, Lordy,

Then Hillary will break your heart again. But look at the good side, you can buy more assault weapons, and dig deeper bunkers.  If you don't accidentally shoot yourself by then. LOL

I know you would love more shooting statistics for you sick little hobby, so I will practice good firearm safety so I don't give you a smile.

Not sure if you have noticed the stock market today, or last week, but what I have been telling you for months is coming to pass.

The FED is stopping (or slowing at least) their manipulation.
As a result the stock market is tanking.

We will be in another full blown recession by 2016 though, so I guess Hillary will have to keep blaming bush LoL.

Unemployment isn't down,  the unemployment # is (and not by much).
Workforce participation is deteriorating very fast, and that is including people that have taking minimum wage type jobs because they no longer qualify for unemployment.

If you don't believe me by the way you can look at the chart provided from the bureau of labor statistics.

Didn't say that. Not at all.
I just said that I am right about what is happening now, and I was right when I told you 5 weeks ago.

I'm not concerned with being called an alarmist, as long as I am proven right.

I am concerned that there is a clearly laid out set of data for you to analyse and discern, and that you would rather hold on to your fairy-tale economics.

    don juan,

As of March of this year, 47.7 million Americans are now on some form of food stamps. Between 2000 and 2012, the number of Americans resorting to food stamps increased more than 171%. In 2000, there were just 17.1 million Americans on food stamps. (Source: U.S. Department of Agriculture, June 7, 2013.)

There are more individuals on food stamps in the U.S. economy than the entire population of Spain—46.17 million. (Source: World Bank web site, last accessed June 21, 2013.)

That is hardly an economic recovery.

If only Gallup and Rasmussen were right we would have had a balanced budget, repeal of Obamacare, nobody on food stamps and whatever other false promises Romney was peddling.

It will be great if Hillary runs. Not a lock but she would start out a modest favorite over anyone the GOP nominates.

The minimum wage is low because all wages are being artificially repressed by alternative sources of labor. China and illegals have repressed domestic wages more than an arbitrary minimum wage level.

    don juan,

here is the new normal in the Obama economy:

Jay got back in and graduated (after a total of seven years of college). But when I talked to him, he was still working food-service and coffee-shop jobs at 28, baffled about how to turn his communications major into a professional job. He felt as if he was sold fake goods: “The world is at my fingertips, you can rule the world, be whatever you want, all this stuff. When I was 15, 16, I would not have envisioned the life I am living now. Whatever I imagined, I figured I would wear a suit every day, that I would own things. I don’t own anything.”
