    To combat all the misinformation purposely spewed by the media and those here I will post how Trump says he stands on issues.

    ABORTION; "The states will determine by vote, or legislation, or perhaps both, and whatever they decide must be the law of the land – in this case, the law of the state," Trump said. Many states will be different. Many states will have a different number of weeks…at the end of the day it is all about the will of the people."

    "Everybody agrees — you’ve heard this for years — all the legal scholars on both sides agree: It’s a state issue. It shouldn’t be a federal issue, it’s a state issue," Trump said.

    HAMAS/ISRAEL WAR; "You have to finish up your war. ... You have to get it done. We have to get to peace. We can't have this going on. And I will say, Israel has to be very careful because you're losing a lot of the world, you're losing a lot of support," Trump told conservative Israeli outlet Israel Hayom."

    "Be strong, be smart and let's get this over with," he said later.

    IMMIGRATION; Trump has said he would restore his 2019 "remain in Mexico program" which forced non-Mexican asylum-seekers attempting to enter the United States at the southern border to wait in Mexico for the resolution of their cases.

    Trump has said he would push for a "a merit-based immigration system that protects American labor and promotes American values." In his first term, he took steps to tighten access to some visa programs.

    Trump has pledged to launch the largest deportation effort in U.S. history.

    Trump has also vowed to take aggressive new steps to deport immigrants with criminal records and suspected gang members by using the little-known 1789 Alien Enemies Act.

    Trump has said he would deputize the National Guard and local law enforcement to assist with rapid deportations of criminals in states that cooperate.

    Trump stands on what ever flavor is popular with the group of fools standing in front of him! Unfortunately it’s the same fools that showed up in 2016,2020, his 2020 rebellion and so on. For the most part it’s the same white lower-educated supporter on the lower-income scale for the most part it is not what we normally term middle-class anymore, it’s the product of who the last generation made up the lower portion of middle class that for many reasons over numerous administrations are not in that room anymore. But who thinks it’s the democrats form of government that screwing them from not realizing there ability to be like him in being rich and famous, when in reality they they only need to see Trump is a wolf in sheep clothing pointing his finger away from those who legally & illegally cheat and gain the system with great desire to either sustain or better there gains for the future! Make capital gains income taxed the same as all other income and add those 80.000 IRS agent to look at how the rest of the 1st class level of the ship claim there returns…As Trump said in 2015 “ They all including himself do it! and he wasn’t lying ! He was going to change the rules! Sure !…..But he didn’t!

     Can only hope Nov. 5th gets the Nation back on track. The wars, inflation, open borders and economy issues should want all Americans to vote for change over the current admiration. Makes no sense that anyone would vote for what we currently have in place.

    @thirdperson

     Who cares about a 'true' democracy.  That is not the system for a reason.

    Think about how uniformed the average person is and what huge followers they are and how easily influenced they are.

    Majority of people are absolutely not qualified to have any idea what is best for most major decisions for a country.

    Actually you made the point.

    Put it on the ballot and vote your choice, majority rules. Not a problem with me. That is what democracy is all about.

    @Raiders22

     And who is qualified? Voters decide and can then blame only themselves if they don't like it.

    Trump just said the States should decide on abortion. Looks like abortion is off the Nation stage now and in the induvial States. This means most will vote on open border immigration issue and the economy.

    Makes it a very easy choice if that is the top voting topics.

    Under that same token, in the arena of modern politics, many of out elected officials are just as uninformed. And all serve donors, not their constituents. I would say,even given how uninformed, and unqualified, the modern voter may be, true democracy is needed more now then ever.

    Even with that said though, I still support the electoral college, so we'll probably never have "true" democracy.

    @UNIMAN

     Certainly someone that is on the dole should not be qualified -- start there, for sure.  Voters should have some 'skin in the game' as they say.

    How often do you see the 'voters' blame themselves?  They do not; they look right away for scapegoats.

    Very true.

    Wish there was a way to make the 'voters' use the 'term limit' option they have at the ballot box.

    But shouldn't we strive for that? Otherwise the pendulum swing to far in the other direction, where money and private interests make all the decisions. Then we have no democracy.

    Yes, guy the other day I ran into asked me how I have missed it.  He say one of the most scenic hikes there.  I have never done it.

    He says I and missing out.  Showed me some great pictures from there.  Looked awesome.

    It's not what I consider a true hike, nor climb, as there are stairs that have been installed to the top.

    Yes, he says that it is not a 'hike' hike -- just very scenic.  I told him I will check it out next time.

    The stairs looked very nice for older people, etc.

    Do you live in the northwest? Great views up and down the gorge. I would recommend Larch mountain on the Oregon side though.
