If Obama gets re-elected, after what this country has gone through, and the path we are on, I feel completely and utterly doomed for myself and for my family and friends.

Romney will win, but for much better reasons than you have stated

The media will have to make a quick switch after Tuesday night... after propping up obama for four years and not reporting anything bad, they will shift gears to bashing Romney, and never reporting anything good.

Dems said the same thing in 2004.  What people need to come to terms with is that they are screwed no matter who gets elected. Which makes this play even more idiotic if you ask me.

No you're not.  Thanks for the insult though I'm not sure what less I could have expected from some of you.  If you want to know the truth I started the NFL/Ncaa football season with $500.  I am up a little over $3,000 so far and decided to put $2500 on Romney.

I never used to be big into politics at all.  I am a 26 year old guy who grew up on a farm in good ol' Packer country.  I've busted my ass every single day to earn every buck I've ever made.  I work primarily off of commission which is a scary way to live, but it's all I know.  With the way things are my last resort would probably be the military, but I hope it never comes to that.  I've seen first hand what some of my family and friends have gone through in the past few years.....and to be honest it's pretty depressing. 

My primary reason for getting concerned with politics is my two year old daughter.  I grew up in some pretty amazing times in America.  Times I believe we can have again and times I am fearful my daughter will never get to enjoy.  The more knowledgeable I got over the past few years, I realized the more conservative I became.  I believe in the people of America....not the government.  We have the ability to govern ourselves.  America spends an enormous amount of our current GDP on something that clutters every system it touches.  I could probably go on for hours but my money is on real change..... and if it fails so be it, we'll all move on.  Good luck to all you guys w/ the rest of football season and ALWAYS...........

sort of agree with you... well... i think if Romney gets elected there is at least a chance things could turn around...

but, i just think the reasoning is backwards... i dumped a crapload on Obama, because if he wins we're fucked, but at least i will get some cash out of it, to give me a bit more of a chance going forward... if Romney wins, the money i lost on this wager should be gained back by not having Obama as a President...

kind of a win-win and a lose-lose situation...

i don't need to know all that.  i was just fuckin with you as i often do when people say they are betting their entire account on one bet.  it sets a bad example for our younger gamblers.

GL to you and your family as well. I remember I went through the same thing when I was younger. As I grew older, I am more and more dismayed by the extremism from both sides, particularly from the right.

2 suggestions:

1. Investing $2500 in your young daughter's future education is the much wiser move, if you are a truly concerned and caring parent.  

2. Overseas travel, outside of your native Wisconsin, would be enlightening and perhaps change your perspective on what America is and what it will continue to be. "Doomed" is a term I would reserve for many third world nations, not the U.S. Not even close, my friend.

If your last resort is the military I definitely wouldn't be voting for Romney. I would be voting for Gary Johnson.

Ahhhh where to begin.....

First I have no doubt you work hard but living in a farm community do you think Federal farming subsides to both farmers and the industry in general has ever increased your earning power within said communities? Well it has so their goes your "big government is stealing my money and fucking my wife" train of thought.....  

Second, Look why the 90's were so great... THE .COM BOOM!!!!.. Nothing more or less.... Because of american innovation, we created and exploited the one of the greatest tools in history.... However because of years of Breaking teachers unions and defunding education programs, we are quickly losing our capabilities to create these new earth shaking innovations because our students are behind other major countries in just about every intelligence barometer...
Not to mention our immigration policies deter even highly intelligent and educated people from wanting to come to the states... Look at Canada's growing prosperity and the attempts of major companies to build communities off shore of silicon valley to circumvent our immigration process... Now why would they do that.....

Listen, everyone is hurting... and look how we got here....
Years of tax cuts that should have gone into education and infrastructure so we can continue be a great, secure nation... Not hunting for "WMD's" in a desert to get the VP's stock options up... (honestly look into how well Haliburton has done from our occupations) and OH look! what do you know, Chainy was the former head.... Well golllleeeee.....

So instead of this guns and tax cuts approach for christ sakes how about some investment in what we all use... Roads... Safe, clean energy so your daughter doesn't get mauled in all these increasingly fucked up storms... Climate change is coming whether you pull your head out of the sand is your decision. It is time for a change... STOP VOTING IN CRIMINALS WHO ARE IN THE POCKETS OF BILLIONAIRES.... 

Never will ever say Obama is perfect, I really don't like how he didn't crush the banks but basically said, "no worries guys we got ya"... That sucked... 

But he is BY FAR the lesser of two evils and it saddens me someone who is hurting continually votes against your  own interests.. So next time you want to blame the half white guy in office.. stop... learn the circumstances we all live in and remember you do benefit from a stronger government, not an overbearing one, but what you honestly expect things to be perfect in a democracy? OF COURSE NOT! thats why we have these things so we can make change, just don't vote for the wrong kind.. 

And Romneys undisclosed 5 trillion debt increase that he promises to pay for IS NOT IT!... No really trust him, he promises the math works out.... But we just can't show you until you give him the job..... 

Common man, don't get fooled and I hope even if you vote that way you can do some deeper searching into what really moves and shakes the world..... Its not all up to 1 (half white) guy who inherits problems 30 years in the making and then people ask..."why haven't you fixed my boat yet... I left you the rudder and wheel? Isn't that enough?" FUCK NO, TIME BABY, REAL PROBLEMS TAKE TIME TO FIX!

Didn't fail me, graduated from University in four years last may, planing to go on to graduate school..... BUT look at the international statistics.... mainly math and science... US is not close to #1 which, if we have more money than all other countries is not right. We should have smartest and best cared for children in the world....

And yes Sarasota, I know, republican representative government is what we really are... most people don't know that and ur trying to split wrong hairs here arn't you?

Reread your comment and realized I failed to answer the question... Let me try again..... I grew up in Hinsdale, IL, feel free to google....
Town is quite wealthy with one of best public education systems in the nation... However I know that I am lucky and that because I have two parents who busted their ass, got opportunities and seized them, that I was able to grow up there..... 

That is not the case for most people on this planet who either never get the opportunities or do not have the support to seize them, and many within our country. Most of these things are simply where the fuck you are born which no one has control of. We are all lucky we didn't wake up in N. Korea which basically fucks us for life right, simple luck. 
I firmly believe that we will never be stronger than our weakest link and all of "every man for himself" thinking is what is going to hurt our country most of all. We are all in it together, as much as many people wish it were not so.

That is the truth.....No matter who gets elected..He has one hell of a tough job a head of them. What America needs to do is clean house in the Senate and Congress so things can get done.
