Also. Up to 27% of our youth between 17-24 are ineligible to join the US military due to obesity. Shocking number. The fat, out of shape youth in the US have the power to let somebody else fight and protect the country while they are on their 2nd bag of chips for the day. Truly a sad state of affairs.

It is interesting how each group (R) and (D) views obesity, the majority of republicans view it as the result of individual consumption lack of physical activity, while dems who are overweight tend to blame genetics.

Republicans are definitely fatter but Democrats are catching up. They just have the kale and quinoa, rock climbing climbing crowd to bring the average down.

Disclaimer: I eat kale almost everyday, quinoa multiple times a week, and I love rock climbing but i'm no whiny liberal. I'm not a whiny conservative either.
