The modern Republican Party under Trump constantly says who they really are. I can’t see now how this country doesn’t finally pay attention. I’d like to think that fascism can’t happen in America. But it’s happening right now. A president who tried to impose elements of fascism in his first term— No one can deny that Trump ramped up and deployed mob violence in an attempt to stay in power. The question is how does the Grand Ol Party cures it self after this ?

Because Trump is not fit to lead anything ! Beside being a degenerate, a habitual liar, On multiple levels a cheat, During much of his presidency he was a weekly buffoon on the front of every news publication around the globe where they have a free press, another words he was seen as a dangerous fool Out redundancy Inl left out he was a convicted felon and 2x impeached President. His business legacy for bankruptcy of his endeavors and many others who where foolish to do business are as long as his adult life!
One can’t argue had Trump not denied the outcome of the election and peacefully left the scene in 2021, I don’t think we’d be having this discussion. In 2016, we didn’t know yet what he would do. Now we doa!

"No one can deny that Trump ramped up and deployed mob violence" Sure they can. They didn't go there because he asked them to. They went there because they believed their voice / votes were not fairly heard.
House investigations reveal that Trump supporters blame him for inciting attack on capitol by promoting big lie about stolen election. He is the first president in US history to try to overturn results of a fair election and resist a peaceful transfer of power.

Now you are going to claim to know why they all went there. It's funny he just happened to do the rally on the day the votes were to be certified, and they just happened to call it "Stop the Steal".And he sure did ask them to be there and get violent, and promote it saying "be there, will be wild", and "Fight like hell,or you won't have a country anymore".If they really thought that their voices weren't fairly heard, they could of been there on any other day in the 2 months since he had LOST the election to have their voices heard. There is no vote being fairly heard, you vote, you get the results of who won.Unless there is PROOF that something happened, that is it,trump lost everyone of his 60 cases disputing the election (a lot of those cases were thrown out by judges trump appointed). And you don't just get to attack our country just cause you feel your vote or voice wasn't heard,or just cause you lost an election. We don't decide elections by just the cry baby claim by the guy who lost the election claiming it's rigged.Especially since he said the same thing the election before, until he was declared the winner.

Rather than take the time or effort to understand the other side's position you try and ram rod a narrative that supports your dislike for Trump and become incredulous to believe it could be anything other than what you believe. So a few questions:
1) Did any state(s) alter their voting rules / procedures as a result of Covid? In any of these cases was it done via emergency power to skirt challenge? Do you believe the political makeup of a court can dictate outcome of a ruling?
2) Was Covid utilized as a mechanism to prevent poll watchers from conducting their roles in hand counting places such as Philadelphia?
3) Did the candidates in 2020 each receive more votes than any other candidate in history?
4) Did multiple locations on would be swing states stop their counts in the middle of the night?
A word on "PROOF". Generally speaking a jury decides on proof in a trial. Proof is decided by evidence both direct and circumstantial, which again is determined at the pleasure of a jury. While election filings are inherently different the nature of this discussion is not based on specific merits of law. Thus, as we're casually talking in a forum and not a court of law it remains my opinion that many flocked to Washington DC to voice their circumstantial concerns more numerous than listed above versus at the request of Trump.
By the way the answer to each of those questions is yes. But "Eff Trump" will do.

How do you like these apples I view this MSG rally as a swan song. They’re losing. They know they’re losing. They take internal pols !Trump has as much as admitted Harris will be our next president in some of his endless blurge and at this point Trump’s whole campaign strategy seems to be, “I’m rubber, you’re glue.”* That means they’re playing defense
More than anything, this rally strikes me as their closing big F You to the country.
This is not to say there won’t be efforts made post-election to try and wrest control from Dems as he is already pitching conspiracy theory’s of election fraud ! But I don’t believe they will be successful again!
And I have no feels like I’m jinxing it to say it right here . But this is my prediction, So bring on the court cases that Trump has been delaying at great financial and political expense !

Trump once called Jan. 6 a 'heinous attack.' Now he calls it a 'day of love.'
Trump has called into the nightly livestreamed vigil held in support of Jan. 6 defendants outside the Washington jail at least once. He has hosted fundraisers for Jan. 6 defendants at his clubs and made a donation himself. And he has promised to pardon an undefined number of criminals convicted in relation to Jan. 6. He has even said he would "absolutely" consider pardoning every single rioter, which would include rioters who were seen on video assaulting officers with a hockey stick, knuckle gloves, a baseball bat, a massive “Trump” billboard, “Trump” flags, pieces of lumber, crutches, fire extinguishers, bike racks, batons, a metal whip, office furniture and pepper spray.
I find support for this sociopath absolutely disgusting and I wish I could block every pro-Trump poster. Thank goodness Political Wire (where I post 90%+ of my political comments) provides that gratifying option.

Hopefully this the thread, The question about the score of the election was brought to approximately 63 time many before a republicans heavy Supreme Court stacked with 3 Trump appointed members and the papers never hit there desk before his lawyers were sent packing! I’ll give you one thing Trump does not get the cream of the crop of attorneys because the ones have outstanding records in cases before the high court said flat out they had not case to begin with….Were was the great Alan Dershowitz? As I recall he is a grade A + litigator ….He went underground ! He knew it was a waste of time!
