    @MrWhatsItToYa

     No idea why the previous poor attempts at posting did not work out. an_roll_laugh

    But...No, I was not talking about Cruz.  I was simply pointing out that he was one that opposed the spending under Trump.

    I guess you could change the topic to him if you like, he was certainly one of them at the time.

    Upset Republicans considering quitting bipartisan group

    CNN's Melanie Zanona

    Republicans on the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus are
    considering quitting the group “en masse” after Democratic
    members voted to oust Kevin McCarthy as speaker,
    a GOP member said.

       The potential blow-up of the group is just the latest sign of
    the fallout and fury following the historic removal of the speaker.

    @KellyM_1964

    McCarthy made a deal with the MAGA-devil.  His self-centered desire to be Speaker led him to accept an ultimatum that any single member could bring up a motion to vacate on a whim if they choose.  Stupid deal.  But McCarthy took it to satisfy his only desire and it came back to bite him.

    Naturally he blames the Democrats for all of it. thejester

    with still no indication there is any viable candidate who
    could secure the 217 votes needed to win the gavel.

    Most likely gonna be Jim Jordan.....

    Who would be better?  Jim Jordan or the Donald?

    For purely entertainment purposes I know who I'd like to see in that role.... an_popcorn

    HEADLINES today . . .

    Jim Jordan flip-flopped yet again and vowed to stay in the Speaker race despite STEEP resistance from many republicans in the CHAOS PARTY.

    Meanwhile, because of the GOP CHAOS, Congress remains frozen as a government funding deadline looms.

    Round 3 vote expected Friday morning, probably around 10 am ET
