McCarthy made a deal with the MAGA-devil. His self-centered desire to be Speaker led him to accept an ultimatum that any single member could bring up a motion to vacate on a whim if they choose. Stupid deal. But McCarthy took it to satisfy his only desire and it came back to bite him.
