That would not have happened to our ships under JFK.

sundance: no disrespect intended and I completely agree with your assessment of the current president. He is a national and international embarrassment. I should have explained what I meant about the Cuban missile crisis without simply characterizing it as "folklore."
Although the final history of the Cuban missile crisis has yet to be written, it is indisputable that the Kennedys ( John and Robert ) hid the truth about the resolution of the dispute. America sold out by secretly agreeing to remove our missiles from Turkey and Italy in exchange for an agreement from Kruschev to hide that fact from the American people. On top of that, Kruschev and Castro got an agreement that we wouldn't invade Cuba as Kennedy had disastrously tried in the Bay of Pigs invasion. All in all, Kruschev removed missiles from Cuba that hadn't been there for very long, and we lost strategic defenses in Europe, angering some of our allies. Castro also secured his future.
I realize your main point was more about the futility that is Obama than it was about JFK. I respectfully agree.

Ordering our nation to take in 10,000 Syrian Muslims and using taxpayer monies is a TREMENDOUS KICK IN THE ARSE to 50,000 veterans who wait years for benefits after tours in Afghsnistan and Iraq. Appeasement of Muslims is an invitation to being defeated. Muslims do not integrate ever. They only conquer. White American culture is ill defined, weak and fragmented. It is being taken over by assimilation, destroyed by counter cultures (Latino and Hispanic outreach, black lives matter and other black activism unified groups ) . White culture has degenerated from within and from without. A Latino dominated society in America will fail. The last Roman Emperor was an Hispanic. Can you name one Hispanic country worth living in? No. Adios America. It is happening. Most 3rd worlders immigrate to live NEAR and as a counter culture to Germanic, Scandinavian and Anglo Saxon white cultures because they respect each other, they care for the greater good--not just their immediate families, and they establish human right and rules of decency and fairness. It isn't sbout sharing our money and resources. Venezuela has more oil than they know what to do with. They're in chaos right now, unable to buy toilet paper or milk and bread. It is the murdrr capital of the Western Hemisphere. Mexico is another cultural disaster, and after the WALL is built, there will be no release escape point, and guaranteed to be huge uprisings in Zacatecas and Chiapas--a huge revolution is in store. This is the real reason Mexico does not want the WALL.
