Ron Paul posted this on the subject,  The Matrix....

"Between cheering the whirlwind that has blown through official Washington and harboring anxiety over the real direction of the revolution, perhaps what has affected me the most this first month of Trump 2.0 is coming face to face with a completely artificial world that had been created with billions of US dollars and thousands of US and foreign personnel in the service of not the "deep state" but the "deeper state."

What do I mean? The dismantling of USAID, for example, has revealed a global system of disinformation and fake news that had been carefully knitted together under the guise of support for "independent media" overseas. This has gone on - and expanded - for decades. Some 90 percent of media outlets in Ukraine, for example, were fake. They were simply fronts for the covert part of the CIA and the regime change system that pumped out as truth that which its masters wanted to appear to be true. Where did the idea that "Ukraine is winning, just a few more hundred billion dollars and we'll take down Putin" originate? It was cooked up not among the "independent media" in Kiev reporting truths from on the ground in the war zone, but in Washington's halls of power.

Like the virus in Wuhan the lies they constructed then escaped, making their way around the world as fact. The massive lie drove policy in Washington and in Western capitals. The massive lie cooked up at the behest of the USAID masters sent an entire generation of Ukrainian men to the slaughter in pursuit of a goal that was never attainable. Those who challenged the manufactured lies were savaged as "Putin's apologists" and deliverers of Kremlin talking points. "No one else is saying this," they would repeat. And it was true because the rest of them were all on the payroll and were spreading disinformation to the rest of the world.

I believe this is the greatest scandal in United States history. They created an entirely fake world similar to the one exposed in the classic film, The Matrix. Do you really want to know the ugly reality? Do you want to take the red pill and see how deep goes the rot? How murderous the "deeper state" really is, sending millions to the slaughter in the pursuit of an impossible foreign policy?  Imagine what immoral monsters were pulling the levers from afar! It was the artificiality of the party-created communist world that led many dissidents to lose their minds. This was explained perhaps best in Orwell's oft-cited masterpiece 1984. It was also brilliantly explained in Arthur Koestler's equally monumental book, Darkness at Noon. It is not enough to be loyal to The Party. You must believe in your heart those things that your head tells you are not true. The surface of this scandal has not even been scratched. And the focus is on Ukraine because that is most in the news. But the fake world USAID created around Ukraine was replicated across the globe. US policy was determined based on false inputs generated by US policy! The snake was eating its own tail."  -Daniel McAdams

    @kcblitzkrieg

    Good points.

Ron Paul (and his son Rand) make great points about the lack of morality in Amer government. So does Thomas Massie. There needs to be checks and balances. But these wise men fall short of being the leaders America needs....

Most governments without checks on power become full blown kleptocracies, with only all the best criminals in power. Is this where we are?

Trump is a case in point. He has risen to power by flaunting his faults and deficiencies in character. He is greedy, mysoginistic, arrogant, extremely cutting...but this is a social criticism of the voters, isn't it? We (not me) don't so much admire Trump's money as much as it is his greed....These are the people that will achieve the highest levels in the 'field of action.' Sad but true.

Yes, I am glad the war in Ukraine could potentially come to a close. I don't think we can trust Russia or China to keep their word--not the US either, the US breaks agreements and protocols on a political whim, and might be withdrawing from NATO.

But this Gaza video Trump reposted of he and Netanyahu sipping martinis poolside at a "Trump Gaza" is distasteful and regrettable, and Trump knows it. He flaunts his greed we all know this....but here he is guiding the Israelis to stop being underhanded and be direct about ethnic cleansing. Moving Palestinians to other countries is by definition ethnic cleansing, and leads to genocide.

Our worst traits as humans serve to make our leaders.

And they become successful because of their flaws which they unabashedly / publically embrace, and in so doing, their followers embrace these traits as well.

I have no doubt Trump will claim many accomplishments financially, geopolitical aims, etc., and will alter the 'games' being played (wars are games for profits), and even might play 'games' to involve iran. However the solutions for Gaza -Palestine that he is proposing will be his achilles heel, regardless of anything else he achieves.

For those keeping score, Ukraine lost 15% of its territory to its enemy, 50% of its minerals to its sponsor, and all it cost them was ~20% their population.

This is what Prof. Mearsheimer meant when he said we were “walking Ukraine down the primrose path.”

     Yes, well said peace_5

I would tell you to post more often for the educational content but I fear it would just be a waste of your resources on in this cesspool sub.  There are only a small minority of us that are actually interested in world truths and realities.  The majority here can be put into two categories.

    1.  Boomers....who are past the point in their lives where they have any ability to modify their "coding" from the years of legacy media influence.  The world of information has changed dramatically in the last decade or so of their lives and they have no interest (or no ability) in adjusting to today's information age.

    2.  Regime Propagandists.  As you previously mentioned with USAID, and my post above, the global system of disinformation and fake news is not limited to outside the US.  It is alive and well and there are literally agents of this mold within these very walls.  They do not wish to "discuss" anything, their only purpose is to spread the regime disinformation, whichever side they may be on (although this cesspool is primarily concentrated on the former regime than current) but that is just relative to the scale of traditional / legacy media we have on the outside so the ratio is reflected by this.

That said, keep up the good fight sir peace_5

Mearsheimer, who is a strong critic of liberal internationalism, and is someone who believes it is natural for regional hegemons to exert dominance in their spheres of influence.

Interview with Mearsheimer.....who has been spot on since Russia's "special military operation" began 4 years ago.

BREAKING: Putin says Russia agrees to stop fighting in Ukraine, but it should lead to long-standing peace.

Putin thanked President Trump for attention to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

We are on the brink of a ceasefire for the first time since fighting began in February 2022.

A Ukrainian government official commenting on the deal just now:

"Kyiv understands it cannot recover all its territory by military force right now and will need to do this diplomatically over time."

Haters of peace will say "Trump didn't do it day 1 like he said" an_roll_laugh

    Russia has two options.

    Truce or face catastrophic losses.

Because the minerals deal just gave Ukraine an extended credit package to purchase the weapons .

3 million shells, patriot missile defense system.

    F35 air craft .

    Long range missiles.....

believe that a ceasefire is possible at any moment, even starting today, and should last at least 30 days to give diplomacy a real chance."

Putin last week declared a three-day ceasefire over May 8-10 to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet Union and its allies over Nazi Germany in World War Two.

Zelenskiy said such a measure is pointless and has called instead for an unconditional ceasefire over at least 30 days in line with a U.S. proposal launched in March.

The Czech government has been a strong backer of Kyiv since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, and has led an initiative to supply Ukraine with large-calibre ammunition.

    @unplucked_gem

You see, I ask questions because I don't know it all like you.

Then I process the response to see if it makes sense to me. When it does, I say so & I'm one of the few in this forum that will even engage with the right.

To say all I do is ask questions is just ridiculous like your responses.

So I'll leave it at that.

Idk, “VLADIMIR STOP!!!” might be the greatest act of diplomacy in 500 years, some are saying it’s the best ever.

I’ve heard that groveling to ex-KGB dictators like Putin is a tried and true strategy for success.

You know, just like the master of The Art of the Deal begged Mexico’s president to pay for the wall, and was sorely disappointed.

There are kindergarteners with more advanced negotiation strategies, the one in office just likes the orange crayon the most.

If you for one second think it is in your best interest siding with Russia over Europe you are retarded - EU has 5 times as many people as Russia (and 1.5 of you guys) EU is good for 21 trillion USD (almost the same as you) where Russia is good for 1.5 trillion - EU controls 4 out 6 payment systems used for international trade and we single handly was the reason Russia had to default in 2022 - and the market indicates the euro will soon take the dollars place as the world currency - we dwarf even you guys in importance already - when you talk international trade - and comparing us to Russia would be laughable at best

Btw Russia isn’t friends with you guys - they would choose China over you any time China asked them to - I have been to Russia (many times) and you litterally almost get killed mentioning you guys - to say they hate you would be the understatement of the year
