I went to Haiti on a business trip in 2000.
Had a meeting with then President Preval, who attempted to shake me down for half a million, but that's a story for another day.
Upon my arrival I was picked up at the airport, and while in route to my destination I was taken aback by the depth of poverty there.
There were shantytowns as far as the eye could see. Literally miles deep. No water, no electricity, and most definitely no money.
I wasn't a couple of miles from the airport when I noticed a woman squatting in front of her hut taking a dump.
Haiti, as well as some African countries, are in fact "shitholes"
It is not racist to say this. It is a fact.
The left is clearly beyond incensed over the President allegedly calling some countries shitholes.
Corey Booker was damn near in tears today, yelling at the Secretary Of Homeland Security, as he suggested that the Presidents remark was proof that he was a racist. Booker repeatedly claimed that President Trump referred to the people of Haiti (and the African countries) with a slur.
Perhaps Booker should take a xanax and stick to the facts.
FACT; Trump did not refer to any one person, nor group of people with any slurs.
FACT; Trump allegedly used this derogatory term to describe countries where Booker would never live in ... because they are in fact shitholes.
FACT; The MSM has taken Trumps words and intentionally distorted them in an effort to paint him as a racist.
FACT; Trumps detractors, such as Booker and many here, have somehow convinced themselves that Trumps comment was racist.
FACT; What Trump said was not racist. Had Obama, or any other Democrat said the exact same thing, the MSM would not report on it, and of they did it would be followed up with a report on the horrific living conditions in Haiti.
