So wait, are you telling me you don't believe there were biolabs in Ukraine that the US was worried about falling into the hands of Putin and Russia??  

Before you answer that, you may want to watch the videos from Victoria Nuland's 2022 Congressional testimony.  That will clear anything up on any "bullshit propaganda" you may have fell for....

'Postponed' --'canceled until further notice'.  Almost synonymous at this point, since martial law does not look to be 'postponed' anytime soon.

More than ONE church.  It was ONE group of churches -- the Russian Orthodox.  

But, by association, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is also under extreme pressure form Zelensky.  Even though they have 'claimed' to have split.

The majority of religious folks in Ukraine are Orthodox.

So far, at least 100 clergy have been investigated and half charged and over half of those have already been sentenced.

All this does is simply point out that there is a huge pro-Russian sentiment in some areas.  If you have ever visited this area you know this to be true.  A large portion in the contested area mostly will speak Russian and have family ties to Russia.  They will even cheer for a Russian football club over a Ukrainian one.

Since the split from the Soviet Union there has been a concerted effort by Ukraine to make the folks into a monolithic Ukrainian identity.  So, now you see this evident when they started to castigate the folks in some of these regions that were pro-Russian.  This was an 'excuse' for Putin the first time and again this time to claim he was 'protecting' besieged folks.  It is not like in Canada where you can speak French but not be 'considered' French.  In this area, a lot of folks will speak either language but be looked at askance if they identify as the other ethnicity.  

Obviously not to justify Putin's actions, but Zelensky and previous Ukrainian leaders have done themselves no favors by the way they handled this identity issue.

So, now you certainly see it with the Church.  They have outlawed one group, altogether; and now are persecuting the splintered off group.  This is exactly part of the issue they had in the 'contested' areas.

But to be fair, Russian did the exact same thing when they began controlling some of these areas -- closed churches and arrested the pastors.

President Zelenskyy has consolidated all TV platforms in Ukraine into one state broadcast and restricted political rivals. Political opposition fears such civil liberty constraints could continue.

That is from NPR -- the well-know Leftist news media outlet.

You can try to 'justify' this by saying you are a nation at war and you only want the 'correct' messaging to get out -- but it looks very bad to claim 'freedom of the press' when you do things like this.

For example: "I think we were switched off because there was a fear that this time, we would not support the president's point of view."

"Today I believe in Ukraine that there are no anti-government opposition forces."

"Another political opponent, the pro-Russian billionaire Viktor Medvedchuk, was recently arrested and his business assets seized because of his close ties to Vladimir Putin."

"Restrictions on these worry the opposition, namely that Zelenskyy is clearing out political rivals before the 2024 presidential election. Before the war, he was a deeply unpopular president."

This last one is concerning, because he is not that popular now as a war-time President.

So, to the extent, that they are a nation at war and need to 'postpone' elections and 'tone down' opposing views in order to be united may seem good on the surface, it will only take so much before people begin to feel it is simply oppression and authoritarianism.

Therefore, no matter what the Media in the West says, it is more important what the folks that live there say and feel.

What will these "reports" tell me that my eyes and ears cannot from watching a Congressional testimony??  I'm genuinely intrigued to what these "reports" are and what they might tell me....I always lend a helping hand, could you point me in the right direction or give me a quick summary of the "reports" please.
