is this a rationale for such an overwhelming diversion from one of his major talking points? If so that is a very weak stance. 1 out of 144 is not happen stance.

Point taken. And not surprised one bit. It's like Trump said on the campaign trail about paying as little taxes as possible, he can so why wouldn't he. I'm sure his business choices when it comes to cheap labor follow the same logic.

So I'm guessing you support the administration's merit based immigration perogative, drastically reducing refugee admissions, in order to help actual american citizens and force employers to raise wages on all these jobs, thus reducing the demand of people needed to work these jobs? Do you?

If fact it would be great politics if he did hire all americans for these jobs you have pointed out in this thread. And made a big deal about. But you know what your tribe would say to that?

But don’t act like this a big issue for you. It is the utter hypocrisy and the total blind eye of the GOP which is the point.

If you don't understand and realize their is a huge split in opinion on immigration in the GOP, I can't help you. 

A huge faction of the GOP WANT this kind of cheap labor and WANT to shuttle it into this country in droves. Their entire political existence is at the behest of Agri-business and the Chamber of Commerce. Those are facts. The faction that wants it to stop and shed some light on its negative consequences on american citizens is the core that voted for Trump. AKA his aide Stephen Miller. You don't think some of his voters aren't pissed that the wall isn't built? and that refugees still get in here to work these slaves labor jobs? They voted to change the status quo....it hasn't happened yet obviously. You say they are turning a blind eye? That's not even remotely true. Why do you think Trump threatened to veto some of the senate's immigration proposals last weeK? His entire presidency rides on this issue. So yes, no blind eye, people are pissed. Should they vote the democrats now? 

Immigration fuels income inequality just as much as offshoring did 20 years ago...Open your eyes. 

Hypocrisy IS politics. And both sides are virtual monuments attesting to the definition of the word itself.

Nobody and I mean nobody who sides with the pro immigration agenda is in it for anything other than political gain and monetary gain. They scream compassion but its pure virtue signaling, and subterfuge to fool the emotionally disable leftwing of America.

Haha. What are we 12? Nice counter argument. The HUGE differance is 

1) I do not think that Dems are necessairly saying that they need to pay more than others while others can choose to pay less or not pay at all. I think for the most part they are arguing that the idea of a tax break is not what they are in favor of. Especially if it goes to the rich coorporations. Basically I think that the Dems are saying that paying taxes is not an awful thing as the GOP would  make you believe because they think it is a necessary evil.

But I am a well known non-partisan independent - so you should probably ask a dem for clarification.

2) Your argument is backwards. The analogy would be if a high ranking Dem pounded his fist left and right and used no tax cuts as one of his primary platforms. Only to get voted in and personally not pay a single tax. That is the analogy here. But the GOP followers are too blind to see.

3) To the point above -- this is the very definition of hypocrisy. MAGA, American first, we need to break up families and kick dreamers out, ICE raids etc... All the while he is doing the EXACT OPPOSITE IN HIS REAL LIFE THAN WHAT HE IS SCREAMING TO THE IDIOTS WHO ARE LISTENING.

What would mattbrot suggest frustrated trump voters do? Vote for dems and make the situation even worse? Support establishment Repubs want to keep the status quo? I want rational ideas, show me how well you grasp all this...I'm all ears
