Andrew McCabe, misled ( lied to ) investigators and his own boss about his role in a news media disclosure about Hillary Clinton just days before the 2016 presidential election and authorized the release of information to "advance his personal interests," according to a Justice Department watchdog report .


The inspector general report concludes that McCabe allowed FBI officials to disclose non-public information to a Wall Street Journal reporter for a story about an investigation into the Clinton Foundation, violating agency rules, and then misled ( lied to )FBI officials when questioned about it........

McCabe had put his personal reputation above the interests of the FBI....

For that Andy you're fired ............

According to legalmatch, there are doubts about whether McCabe's termination is legal because employment law supports his claims   First, Trump constantly taunted McCabe on twitter.  So McCabe has evidence for a lawsuit to argue that his termination resulted from a personal grudge. 

Secondly, McCabe is a witness to Comey's documenting meetings with Trump.  Special counsel may construe termination as witness tampering and intimidation.  Third, McCabe approved an investigation into Sessions perjury to congress.  So McCabe's termination may be unlawful retaliation.

Trump is on thin ice by alleging good cause for termination.  McCabe's lawyer could argue in court that McCabe was really fired for other reasons.  Since there was only two days before McCabe's resignation, firing him was legally risky.  Majority of wrongful dismissal lawsuits are won by employees.
