Just another dumb day in Washington......I see the latest news that the Post Office has lost billions in the last fiscal year and now needs to raise the price of postage to help cure the deficit...

Idiots and fools are in charge of the Post office as that is standard operating procedure ( don't get me started on the local road commision dingbats as well)......Things have changed so much over the last number of years as we all know with the internet and smart devices replacing regular mail as the prefered way of doing things.....Just about everyone pays most of their bills by online banking and email and therefore has no real need to mail as much anymore............We definitely still need mail service, yes indeed we do .......JUST NOT EVERY DAY DELIVERY as a message to the numbnuts in charge.

They could save so much money by going from 6 days a week delivery to 2 or 3 days or even 4 times a week as that is all we really need nowadays for residential homes....Business adresses could still get everyday service if needed..

Saving money and efficiency is not in the govts. vocabulary it seems...They need to wake up and start serving the public with a modicum of intelligence and instead CUT the price of postage.

BUT, once the govt hires someone...They never get fired or layed off...

YEAH, I know this issue is small potatoes and the liberals on this site will certainly ridicule this post...but, damn ...The govt should work for us citizens.....Not us working for them..

Stop making the post office responsible for b's benefits and they make money. 

Just another lie from congress. And another problem from Washington,  they refuse to tell the American Public the truth jim. It is simple the workers at the post office who retired from the military and work for the post office the post office is on the hook for pension that the military owes. Policy dictates they must higher that person over any other.  

All in a way to make the only agency that makes the feds money a private firm. 

Next the feds will introduce a bill to tax every text as it does every phone call. 

Today Cohen will go to the house intelligence committee for the first hour be quite a show for the cspan cameras. Then they will meet in a closed door session when just because it is public servants in a public place using public money the public won't know anything to shifty and Nancy tease their already prepared statement. 

More investigations will be needed .....

Washington is one ongoing shat show. Most of the world will not use Washington dc as a creditable source.  

The Washington press Corp met its match with Sanders, she is going to keep to the script in front of her same as the press does.

Somehow this is collusion.  Mueller investigation was about Russia and the Presidentworked together to jack the end and Killary email server to destroy Killary presidential bid.

Stone went to wiki leaks down loaded the dirt and turned it over to press. Assange stated your password was password. So the russian angle Mueller was supposed ti focus directly.  Has become Cohen paid off a prostitute,  stone went to wiki leaks.  And now the post office can not generate enough money to cover the postal pension and the military pension fund that the us owes its citizens. 

I guess I need to roll a joint go down to the liquor store get a  little of everclear and blame my neibors party last week for my substance abuse...... If Washington states anything you must het this verified by someone else cause you can assume that it's a lie.

No russian collusion but in this fishing exercise all this other bullshit,  from a disbarred lawyer and the liars in congress. 

Gotta wisen up on your complaining. From an operating standpoint the post office is profitable and actually doing a great job. They make money on the business they are in and there is NO private sector business that could do a better job at the price point that the post office does...nobody. Not Amazon, not Fedex not UPS, nobody. The scale to which the post office offers door to door service is so great that for a profit based corp to do it the costs would likely triple in my mind AND with less service.

The reason the PO is unprofitable is due to the CORRECT mandate that they fund pension needs NOW for their employees, not play the promise and default game that most corps do. I applaud the PO for properly funding future obligations NOW even if it makes you less profitable in the present because the slaves that actually DO the work and are PROMISED a benefit for work done, DESERVE that benefit when they are eligible to receive it.

Wake up....

Cut them some slack. USPS delivers BILLIONS of pieces of mail a day without the customer restrictions and responsibility demanded by UPS or Fed-Ex. They are stuck with a lot of miss-addressed mail, junk mail, newspapers, magazines and unrequested garbage UPS or Fed-Ex would reject in a heart beat.
