MSNBC's Chris "excitement shooting up his leg" Matthews{who blocked me on twitter}said on Morning Joe{which 9 people watch} that Crazy Christians are to blame for President Trump fulfilling his campaign promise to move the embassy to Jerusalem. Matthews said:
"Deaths are coming from this. the next few weeks we'll have hell to pay for this totally erratic decision by this president. Don't think this has nothing to do with that Alabama senate race because it is related because the christian evangelicals down there and their crazy ideas about Israel which is i guess mythical"
Lets go through this:
1. In 1995 a bill was passed to move the embassy to Jerusalem...If you don't like it....repeal the bill
2. Trump campaigned on moving the embassy
3. People say he's reaching out to evangelicals and taking care of them. He got 81% of the christian vote in the election. If LGBT people voted for Trump at an 81% rate and Christians at 15% Christianity would be banned in America every bible would be burned and same sex weddings would be performed 24/7 at the White House. Why did the last president do nothing for christians? Because they didn't vote for him
4. Mr. excited leg and the rest of his colleagues showed their anti-semitism and their hatred of Christians and person in their comments since the announcent
That is all

Trump rejects recommendations of US secretaries of state and defense by recognizing Jerusalem as capital of Israel. This controversial shift in policy is condemned by most countries. It defies international law and UN security council resolutions. Israel sovereignty over Jerusalem isn't recognized by international community. All countries maintain their embassies at Tel Aviv.
Despite Trump claims, no evidence this move accelerates peace process. Instead move could fuel extremism, undermine war against terrorism and lead to violence. There are already protests at Gaza. For decades, previous presidents wisely avoided this mess.

You say "peace process" What peace process are you talking about?
Peace with mooslems?
Are you insane?
Lets say you and your next door neighbor are having a spat and he threatens to kill you...What would you do?......Then one day a few weeks later he jumps you and tries to cut your throat but somehow you thwart the attack....Then what? ....Do You try and make "peace" with him after he gets out of jail on bond and he still says he is going to kill you, OR, do you now believe him, or think he is bluffing?
Wake up....You are in dream land...You watch too much cnn news and are brainwashed.

JimmyDrizzl is confused. In televised speech, Trump said, "Recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital is a long overdue step to advance the peace process."
Actually, Trump's move would make achieving peace more difficult.

I don't understand the Jerusalem/Middle East scenarios, similar to everyone else on this forum ... similar to Trump, Obama, and every other politician born on US soil.
No one knows with certainty what, if anything, has an effect on violence or peace in that area.
Obviously most Muslims will not approve of Trumps decision ... that does not mean that Muslims will now attack us, or hate us. The reality is that a small percentage of Muslims want us all dead regardless of anything we do as a country. The majority of Muslims will not suddenly because vengeful killers.
Suggesting that any action taken by the US would help achieve peace in that region is either wishful thinking, or flat out propaganda.

For years, US has worked as a neutral mediator in Middleeast negotiations. But Trump has jeopardized US role as a peace maker.
According to IRmep poll, most Americans don't want US embassy moved to Jerusalem. Those in favor of moving embassy have never presented a compeling case to American public about what US national interest it would serve. This is because there is no case. It is why most Americans disapprove of move.

thirdperson, I give you credit for not engaging in name calling on this forum. You are one of the very few
You also regularly site your sources when making statements, which is commendable.
The problem with that is you often use sources that are biased (I have pointed this out previosuly) IRmep is another example of this.
They have been accused of spreading anti-Israel propoganda in the past. Thus, using that organization as a reference for a poll on Americans views on anything related to Israel is flawed.

No peace in that region until the radical mooslems are totally beaten, destroyed, and millions of them killed in battle...( see WWll for example)

I dont usually like to post in threads where the bias and anger reek so strongly but in this case I still will. I think this is a terrible idea to take a stance this way and it is yet another decision lacking intelligence. Trump makes emotional controlling decisions because HE wants to, not thinking the effects of his little mind and that others exist in the world than he and his family.
There is no good way to position yourself with this situation because there is no solution...neither side is interested in letting the other exist, neither side is innocent, all sides have historical claim on the area and Israel is not doing themselves any favors trying to force their way in without respect to others existing in the region.
Trump is a moron without a doubt and WHY you need to take this stance at all makes no sense. Its the wrong decision, there is no pressing need to make it...but yet again our dummy leader fails to think before opening his trap.

In june the senate voted 90-0 in favour of S.Res 176, which among other things...
(6) reaffirms the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 (Public Law 104–45) as United States law, and calls upon the President and all United States officials to abide by its provisions.
What happened since june? What happened in 6 mos?

Further,,name ONE NATION of people THAT weren't ALLOWED similarly, to make that same very "CLAIM".??.......
Oh..let's just be POLITICALLY CORRECT and "go along to GET ALONG"....

If you want to take a look historically, Palestinians as a sovereign nation did not exist until the 20th century...
..and Arabs living in the city of Jerusalem did not self-identify as Palestinians, until 20th century...so the Palestinians have a short historical claim to the land....

Wallstreet, what did you have to say when Clinton, Bush and Obama took the same stance? Crickets? Trump just had the balls to actually do what he said he was going to do unlike those fools.
The difference is those fools quickly realized it was a bomb ready to go off that served no purpose at all. So congrats that he has balls as you say but it is the wrong decision. We are really not an integral part of the solution for that area of the world, all we can do is observe and sell weapons (which we love to do) and make wrong decisions. There is no right decision in this, none at all.
But as you say the one with balls runs his mouth as usual not really thinking about his decision and the impact it has on the region AND our country..just blindly think he knows what is best and opens his trap.
Israel has no more claim to that area (in fact less IMO) than any other group...and forget the UN giving them something that wasnt theirs to give in the first place. This discussion has gone on here so many times I lose count. I am not anti-Israel at all, I am not pro-Muslim at all. I base my observations on the facts and using some sense of intelligence. Forget that you all want to blame Muslims for all the ills of terrorism and the flaws that their faith has...every faith has huge flaws so to me it isnt about that.
Historically the non-Israel population has more claim to the land than Israel ever could and even though I am Christian I do not think them calling it their holy land is how you go about mutually existing in an area of serious contention. There is not a solution that will work and that is why if you believe in the Bible that the area right there is the exact point of the end of the world and when the second coming takes place..there will not be a peaceful solution there ever.
Trump yet again made a big blunder asserting himself into a situation he and the country does not belong.

ANY MUSLIM or ARAB Claim....
WALL....You CAN NEVER "WIN" this argument...
HISTORY dispels "all's " temporary reasoning....
Obviously...YOU didn't WATCH the "10 COMMANDMENTS' did you......

Yeah I never saw or heard of the awesome TEN COMMANDMENTS being Christian and all..
How can anyone lay claim blah blah blah?? Who lived in the region before that date, who lived in that region prior to Israel trying to forcefully take it over?
Learn a little history before you make silly comments.

The historical chain of sovereignty of the land goes:
Ancient Egyptians, Canaanites, Israelites,
Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Ancient Greeks, Romans, Byzantines,
the Sunni Arab Caliphates, the Shia Fatimid Caliphate, Crusaders,
Ayyubids, Mameluks, Ottomans, the British, and then Israelis again -
source is Wikipedia).
Note: None of the sovereign entities in the area were "Palestinian Arabs" - it was either foreign invaders,or Israelites.

So you forget the millions of people killed via Christianity? How cute...the Old Testament is FULL of the exact thing you are blaming Muslims for...the difference is you ignore it because it fits into your personal biases. While I am Christian I can also admit the atrocities committed via Christianity and not act like these things did not and do not happen now.
SS, come on...are you going to play the dumb card too? You cant throw Israel into the mix as you did, it was not their land, they attempted multiple hostile attacks to claim what they thought was theirs but they did not claim or own it...nor were their attempts at habitation long lasting. You are well old enough to know the history of Israel AND you know that their chain of alleged ownership did not happen as you stated...dont be biased, you cannot ignore that good ole OT like that. They do not have ownership even now...they are forcefully occupying the land, it was never theirs.
