Packers1992, 165yards: You guys have such ultra-simple solutions (puke) you make yourselves look ultra-simple-minded.  “Just wipe them out and that will be the end of the problem”. Yeah, right, sure. There will be no retaliation and no escalation. China will just sit back and take it. Russia will not only take it but be so intimidated by big bad Donald they will make no more moves in Eastern Europe or the Middle East. Everyone will just concede that the big boy has spoken, flexed his muscles, and there is nothing to be done about it. You do not have the slightest concept of how world wars start or escalate; and you seem to be of the impression you will just be able to sit on your arse and watch the whole thing on television.

Without the cooperation of China, no solution is even possible. Unless they come down hard on North Korea the problems will simply escalate. We NEED the cooperation of China to reach any peaceful solution. If they lift sanctions and once again support North Korea the problems will continue to escalate. Do you want to include China in the “let’s just nuke-em” solution?

We have, and you guys are very proud of it, the power to reduce the world to rubble 40 times over, and they (China and Russia) can only do it 4 times over. Simply a matter of power, right? No, fools; how can possibly think any use of nukes in a 4 x 4 exchange leaves anything worthwhile to be inherited?

Packers1992: You often pat yourself on the back for being the epitome of Christendom. That is just another subject you are totally inept at, but that is another discussion. For today, where do you find, in Christianity or anywhere else, the moral justification for nuking 24 million people in the North, or 72 million combined, for the actions of less than 2% of them that hold the political and military power? Christian is defined as Christ-like, and that doesn’t sound very Christ-like to me.

In essence you guys sound a lot like Douglas MacArthur. Thank God we had Harry Truman. 

Packers1992, 165yards: Now then; you want a solution. Frankly I don’t have one, but I know how I would go about intimidating the North and trying to stop their sharing of nuclear and rocket science. My next step would be to continue working with the Chinese in every possible (and moral) way to get them to bring pressure on the North. It would work to totally isolate the North, but that can be done only with the cooperation of China. After that I would knock down every NK missile launch as soon as the missile was over the sea. If that is not possible, I would knock down their missile launches immediately after launch. Unless they track their missile launches and record the results they can’t possibly know whether or not they are making progress in their delivery systems.

What I propose is doable without nuking anybody, which may be the last presidential decision you ever have to worry about.

If China and Russia want to die on the hill of protecting NK........that is fine by me
