Odds of a government shutdown

most bookmakers don't have any good prop political bets with only the occasional " when will Trump be impeached " and "first government official to be arrested/fired" but just curios since we are closing in at the end of Trump's first 100 days and he has exactly nothing to show for it so what would we expect this week? Anyone have a prediction on a line for a government shutdown and whether it happens or not?

50/50. Trumps stands tall with trying to leverage the wall with Ryan. I would bet yes on a government shutdown. The country would not even notice a shutdown unless you are a Veteran and O throws you out of the Viet Nam Memorial Wall area as you are sitting in your wheelchair paying tribute to your brothers.

Who would get the blame if there was one this weekend? Trump? The Republican Congress? Or Democrats? Can't see Trumps loyal base blaming him for anything.

I think chances of a government shutdown is quite low given the Yuge PR damage to Trump and how easy it would be just to put in an extension. What line would you guys have it if you were a betting man? I would say -1000 on no shutdown.

Two week recess no way it shuts down expect a temporary funding package.

So you repubs are ok with Trump porking the wall into this when he campaigned on having Mexico pay for it?

Oh how quickly you folks ignore and excuse the promises and lies that everyone knew Trump would pull.

Yes bit the second part is even harder to pull off. Does any one actually believe that Congress is going to shred
NAFTA and start imposing tariffs on Mexican goods to actually pay for this wall. Exxon is already asking for sanctions against Russia lifted so the can continue drilling in the Baltic. Odd timing I guess.

Au contraire pierre,,,,what President Trump has to show is Hillary Rodman Clinton is not President and Neil Gorsuch...occupies a seat on the Supreme Court..

Forget Trump republican legislation has convened for 100 days with all the cards and has passed no bills. None natta zero ziltch. Even holding all the cards Republicans can do nothing.
At least when democrats were in power they did something. A career judge with impeccable credentials was confirmed.
And trump signed executive orders to get around Congress is not a win.
Time they do something could someone tell Cruz you have to do something or just hand over the gavel s and ho back to complaining. If you believe your going to break this no hitter with a grand slam we pay for a wall. If immigration illegally is reduced to zero you won't need one. Kelly will make that happen anyway wall or no wall he cut his teeth with Rodney LA riots under ghwbush and has no issue with making the call to pull the trigger.

Congress is useless.

96% of Trump's base is still behind him. 90% of news is negative towards Trump. It takes a heckuva man to stand up to the duplicitous Left. Russian hack job etc  The country is in great shape. Landslide in 2020. Just like 2016. The Left will be done by 2020. Very weak party. A very, very weak party. No message, No leader. Fake news all over the place! MAGA!

No my friend trumps base was not the majority .those against killary was. Republicans have another 700 till elections remember 2010 when bainer took the house. Well unless the GOP can get their thumb out of their.... They lose it all.

I agree Saban. The country will be more united than ever by November of 20. Trump in a landslide in 20 unless they destroy the (the powers that be) economy.

No wall no tax cut but maybe the majority can keep the government open I guess one PC of legislation in 100 days ain't getting skunked ( card term in cribbage)
