SECURE Act 2.0 Passes House, Signaling Massive Retirement Savings and Investment Policy Shift CNN -The retirement savings legislation, also known as SECURE Act 2.0, expands on the original SECURE Act and includes provisions to boost the required minimum distribution (RMD) age from 72 to 75 over time, broaden automatic enrollment in retirement plans, and enhance 403(b) plans. The original Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act was passed into law by former President Donald Trump in December 2019. This legislation altered the existing retirement savings plan system in terms of RMD, contributions to traditional IRAs, 529 plan uses for student loans, and making annuities easier for 401(k) plan administrators to offer. The SECURE Act 2.0 expands on all of these provisions, including increasing the RMD age further to 73 in 2022, to 74 in 2029, and to 75 in 2032. It also requires 401(k) and 403(b) plans to automatically enroll participants when they become eligible, though employees may opt out of this coverage. The automatic enrollment amount starts at a minimum 3% of salary — but no more than 10% — followed by a 1% increase each year until it reaches said 10%. There is an exception to this requirement pertaining to small businesses with 10 or fewer employees, new businesses (those less than three years old), church plans and governmental plans. The SECURE Act 2.0 also changes policies on catch-up limits concerning retirement plans (and indexes IRA catch-up limits to inflation beginning in 2023), student loan repayments and employer matching of such as retirement contributions, small employer pension plan start-up credits, and collective investment trusts (CITs) in 403(b) plans. Further, the legislation opens up opportunities for exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in variable annuities.
Every little bit helps and each small progressive step to help Americans adds up.
Unfortunately Putin's fascist aggression has caused heavy increases in price of gas and therefore all movement of goods dependent on it, so inflation around the globe.

Especially with a crowded field! Because the votes against him would be diluted among all the other candidates. More or less the way Trump won the candidacy in 2016

CNN BUSINESS - Global markets tumbled and crude oil prices surged to $99 per barrel on Tuesday after Russia ordered troops into parts of eastern Ukraine.Brent crude, the global benchmark, surged 3.8% to $99.17 per barrel. Russia is one of the world's biggest producers of oil. It is also a major exporter of natural gas. Western countries would likely respond to a Russian invasion of Ukraine with punishing sanctions that could cut Russian banks off from the global financial system and make it more difficult for the country to export its oil and gas.
How's this working out Foops

CNN- Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger will defeat Trump-backed primary challengers, CNN projected Tuesday -- a blow to the former President's efforts to punish them for refusing to help him cheat to overturn Joe Biden's legitimate victory.
The losses of election deniers backed by Trump in the Peach State offers clues about Republican voters' willingness to spurn the former President's vanity campaigns and move on from his lies about the 2020 election.

Hi Kelly…. This is called a bear market rally. Dead cat bounce. Gains of 10-20% during bear markets are not uncommon. Look at ‘00 and ‘08 even ‘20. Rally’s are part of the game. Rest assured tho, we going down down down….425 spy then back in the 350 direction. You do you tho, don’t let my unblemished forecasting record sway you…. RECEIPTS BUDDY

More shipments of baby formula heading to store shelves soon
Abbott Nutrition leadership apologized
for the company's role in a nationwide shortage of infant formula.
"On behalf of everyone at Abbott, I want to express our extraordinary disappointment about the shortage. We are deeply, deeply sorry," Chris Calamari, who leads the Abbott nutrition division, said at a hearing before the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigation.
The company is expected to begin making batches of formula at its Sturgis, Michigan, plant on June 4 and have them on store shelves around June 20. The plant can increase capacity by 40 percent after it is in operation, Calamari said. Calamari also detailed the company's supply-boosting plans, which include shipping formula on nearly 50 flights a week to 12 airports across the country.

The company has converted manufacturing facilities to make formula. It is also working with U.S. Department of Agriculture WIC agencies to provide formula for free to program participants, CNN reported.
"By the end of June, we expect we will be supplying more formula to Americans than we were in January, before the recall," he told lawmakers.
