Republican imbecilic idea of the day award !

Vivek Ramaswamy says he can use his deep knowledge to accomplish what Trump couldn’t and his other rivals wouldn’t be able to — laying off 75% of the federal “bureaucracy” in his first term, including 50% in year one. Including 20,000 members of the FBI would be let go as he disbands the bureau!   “With all his knowledge I wonder what crimes he’s planning on commiting.”

That's exactly!  With the FBI basically handicuffed with little better than a skeleton crew, he could commit any myriad of federal crimes (like trump) and just walk away.

Not to mention he would starting off by ADDING to the unemployment roles, rather than creating jobs like President Biden.

Does this numb nuts not realize that the FBI are essentially just cops, and that they investigate crimes like kidnappings, etc? These politicians with their rhetoric, I swear.

This isn't a post to take a side. I'm extremely conservative on some subjects. I consider myself a conservative leaning centrist though I can be extremely liberal on other subjects. So again, not taking a side. Just marveling at pure idiocy.

And the worst part is, dude isn't an idiot. He's an extremely smart man. Politics make smart men sound like dumb asses and dumb asses think they are the smartest of all.

GOP has become a party of extremists hellbent on cutting government spending to weaken US.  Dictators Trump and DeSantis have also threaten to defund FBI, IRS, homeland security and other vital departments. 

 The democrats are bound & determined to control all citizens with their Nazi tactics. Dictators like Biden's handlers are determined to weaken the US.

- House GOP members screaming for a special counsel to be appointed to investigate Hunter Biden

- House GOP members crying and whining about Merrick Garland’s appointment of a special counsel, who is a Trump appointed attorney general, to investigate Hunter Biden

Republicans have been demanding for months that the Department of Justice appoint a special counsel to investigate Hunter Biden’s taxes. And now the department has, the GOP is…throwing a fit.

Attorney General Merrick Garland announced Friday that he has appointed Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss as special counsel in the probe. Weiss was already overseeing the investigation and had negotiated a plea deal that Republicans hated. Republicans alleged that the Justice Department impeded Weiss’s investigation into Hunter Biden by refusing to give him special counsel status.

If you think the "Nazi dictators" are only "handling" Biden and not literally every politician then I've got a beach front timeshare in Wenatchee to sell you.

 Trump the Stable Genius believes he should be able to pick his own prosecutors, judges, and juries? ….Wouldn’t that be nice. He confirmed Weiss, And like 80+ Republicans that have testified against he says are all Trump haters ?…….Could you put down The Hash pipe for week or so and clear your mind. In 4 years he fired just about his somewhat complete cabinet? All most twice?

Fox is now threatening to sue all other networks if they air more than a total of 3 minutes of clips from the upcoming Republican debate during a 7 day time period on a show. 3 minutes total per show for an entire week.

Beyond laughable! Hopefully anyone can find 3 minutes of actual useful content!

If re-elected in 2024, Trump promises to raise tariffs on foreign goods.  However economists warn of economic disaster.  Global trade war lead to 1930s depression and second world war.  History shows protectionism has caused more harm rather than good for US economy.

This is incorrect.  This is a big leap by Reynolds.  For sure, the depression had set in already by then.  This argument uses the presupposition that there was anticipation of this already setting into the market.  S-H did not help and may have exacerbated the situation -- but to lay the blame on it is wrong.

The issues in Europe at that time were more along the issues that had set in with Germany paying for WW1, etc.  

A lot of pros and cons can be argued here -- this simply is not the best avenue to take though.

For example, the FDR stuff afterwards people give credit to; these same things can be said to have created a much unneccesary drag on the economy.

I know him and he is a good guy and has done a lot of good things in the field; he is the main one that started this idea.  But here he makes a conclusion that is not supported well enough to me.  I cannot say that he is completely wrong and agree that it may not have helped, after the fact.  I think it is a bit of a stretch to blame it though for the start.

And yes economists believe that strategy would be deleterious to our economy.

A well prepared Nikki Haley accused Trump of running up large budget deficits during his administration Republican hypocrisy on the deficit has been obvious to me for decades, but I’ve never heard any Republican mention it. Also as far the moderators “ I think Brett is as middle of the road as you get from Fox as far as integrity ” they we’re useless! One must remember it’s not, and cannot be a debate because most of them won’t abide by any rules that restrict them! From the began they talking over each other and by the end of it not only did no one give a yes or no answer, most of them didn’t even address the actual question. What happened to Facts, verification,this is the responsibility of a the moderator,It goes Right and Left alike. No one’s debating anything. To me the funniest parts was when 1) The mods asked them, by a show of hands, who believes in man-made climate change. No one raised their hands….Really? And 2) Was when Vivek used that line “ I’m  the skinny guy with a funny sounding last name “ about himself and Christie was pointing out that he had stolen it from President Obama (who said it in 2008). On a side note I find Ron DeSantis is dull & borderline unlikable, He looked in great pain when he made a attempt to just smile ! Look back to the Nixon & Kennedy debate it puts today’s candidates to shame, They we’re polished respectfully and prepared! 

This is flat out false. There wasn't a trade was per se. Tariffs were a result of the depression, they exacerbated the depression, but they didn't cause it. Nor did they cause WW2.

Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping will really appreciative if Vivek Ramaswamy wins US presidency in 2024. Ramaswamy says Taiwan should defend itself after U.S. no longer depends on Taiwan for semi-conductors and he also opposes more aid for Ukraine in it's war against Russia. 

Putin and Xi just got their favorite candidate kicking in the 2024 GOP presidential campaign.
