Musk is the biggest supporter and innovator on EVs and various other technology the Left supports.
But because they do not support his politics because they think he is far-Right (he is far from far-Right) they now burn up the very thing they were once promoting as good for the environment.

Musk is NOT an ultra conservative at all. What did he do to target any one group that turned them into, at best vandals, and not simply ‘acting out’.
Just because you do not like the man does not mean how you categorize him or tacitly okay criminal behavior okay.
No it is far more than that. When it is happening in other countries, then it is NOT because Musk targeted them and caused them to act up as well. It is a concerted effort and the mindset that has been going on when the far Left does not like something. They resort to burning things down and destroying things.

I cant lead you by the nose to the public display that he has made multiple times as the catalyst for these backlash responses, it is public information and you suggesting you do not know what started this is quizzical. I am not in support of breaking the law and putting innocent people at risk in this case no more than the Jan 6th law breaking and harm rather I am saying this is why and it makes sense to me.
Musk is ultra conservative and while that might not seem the case since you associate with his views and all others in this thread who also feel the same way associate with his views. My opinion of him is more about the way he treats people not what political viewpoint he has. Prior to these events and the election I do not recall many if any threats on him or other Tesla management even though their products have always been garbage so it cannot be due to a lack of quality or low stock price. The stock is still 75 plus higher than the 52 week low.
Not sure how any of you can correlate these events with anything but the way he has attacked and harmed every day citizens just trying to live life while he is probably the largest single beneficiary of government freebies and schemes in the USA. Seems like a good reason for people to be upset.

There is a reason why I have disliked the guy for a very long time and it is all about how he treats other people, long long before this scheme and attention seeking endeavor he has a history of being a bully to his employees. You might think that government workers are a dead weight group sucking off a pay check doing nothing, well I do not share that view. Even if there was a need for a RIF in the government there is a classy, professional, respectful way of handling a RIF and then there is what Musk does which is parade around trashing others in an unkind and unnecessary way.
I think the lines drawn even in this forum about Musk is quite telling about how some people do not think others deserve consideration, respect and human decency and whatever means to the end is valid even when it means methods which are insulting and abusive.
I would lump a guy like Steve Jobs in this category, some people have no ability to take action and work with others in a way that shows respect and professionalism and the end goal is all that matters, the carnage and abuses which take place are just part of the process for people like Musk and Jobs.

I did make the claims off of his actions, I would say the same and I DID say the same about others who act this way. His personality and way of treating others did not originate with this DOGE nonsense, I thought the same about him years ago.

If you agree with the way he treats his employees, government workers, those who do not agree with him that is of course your right and good for you, I do not agree with the methodology that the end result is the only measure and the lack of consideration and respect for others does not matter. I think he is wired in a way similar to Jobs that they lack the ability to separate business objectives and a base level of consideration and respect and I find that of low character...same goes for how he does and has handled this DOGE nonsense. Its a zero ego attempt to get attention, there is no gain from demoralizing faceless government workers as he does and how some members here do. Government workers are not dead weight, government workers are citizens and members of society trying to live life and be productive in general. To say that a broad low hanging fruit cut of government jobs is acceptable because they are not productive is garbage, what kind of analysis was done on performance to determine WHO was not performing and was every employee evaluated and considered before the cut? No...so yes these acts were political trashing of faceless low to mid level government employees.
Was Musk ever torched for his lousy products or missed deadlines or wait times for repairs or price gouging? Nope.. the actions started when he torched low hanging fruit and paraded around bragging about it like a fool. Did Musk say to make the most impact that he would stop accepting federal and state freebies and stop cashing in on fraudulent carbon credits? That would be the diplomatic thing to do...take one for the country, give up his trough troweling while also doing a RESPECTFUL RIF after great evaluation and consideration.
No Musk just flippantly cut groups and orgs who had no voice and no lobbyists paying politicians to protect them, the forest service and the weather group, the GSA? I am not asking you if he is an opportunist. That is not how this got started. Most people that are successful are. Nearly all businessmen are.
So what? That has nothing to do with their politics.
Many studies have been done for government inefficiency. To deny they are inefficient is denying what everyone sees.
I was in 5 airports two days ago in 3 countries. Two of them were USA airports. The difference in workers was astounding. In the USA airports there were many more. Many were sitting around charging their phones or talking to each other. Lines were backed up because of lack of those folks working. In the other countries, they all seemed to be working and on the move.
Go in any post office and you will see one line open and 3-4 folks wondering around behind the one that is working.
Go in the DMV or the tax office — same thing.
Then go on any base and see the same thing. Less than half are really working.
Very, very few number of workers are carrying the overall organization. You see this in the private sector but to a far less degree. But it is the company’s job to fix it.
Who should be fixing it at the government level?
Everyone knows there is a huge waste and bloat going on; but no one addresses it.
Now when possibly the most qualified person to do it addresses it folks get mad. Then they burn other folks cars and damage things.
It is silly.

Can you imagine how long it would take Congress to do it. They would set up committees and hire independent parties to look at it. Even when Obama cut some they didn’t like it. Then it promptly grew back even larger.
