United nations panel says Trump's pardon of war criminals violate US obligations under international law. Massacre of innocent civilians was condemned by top US officials in charge at Iraq in 2007. Unjustified pardons are an affront to justice and to the victims families. Pardons are supposed to be about mercy and justice. Any other president would allow justice department to recommend convicts worth pardoning such as long time prison inmates serving outdated sentences due to changes in laws.
