    @fubah2

     Whelan is a veteran marine.  Nice job by President Poopy Pants in getting the WNBA player in exchange for THE MERCHANT OF DEATH instead of the US Military vet.

     Yes, great job by Hologram Joe's handlers.... an_hammer

    Yeah, good to see an American safely on her way home, Biden administration is working hard on Paul Whelan's swap as well. Hopefully, we get another American safely home soon.

    Absolutely! Unfortunately Putin is refusing to release Whelan in a game of high-stakes "leverage" now that he is slowly losing his war on Ukraine. Short of offering Russia to annex TEXAS there is little Biden team can do to force Putin to give up his remaining leverage.

    thats the boondogle right there

    its like trying to negotiate with satan and he holds the cards

    Clearly, Putin is bidens daddy.

    merchant of deaths moto - down with America

    Griners moto - down with America

    Who won this trade?

    merchant of death clearly states America is his sworn enemy, Griner has shown the same. Sad day for America and it's citizens. Clearly Russia will use our citizens as chess pieces in the future.

    @fubah2

    Here is another good news,

    US House has passed the bill to protect same sex marriage today, with unanimous Democrat votes plus some GOP supports.

    That's because the release of the prisoners was supposed to be part of a peace deal and a ceasefire. What benefit does America and the world get by getting someone who disrespects America back? That ceasefire deal was also broken by the taliban and then your boy biden still pulled out. Doesn't take long to pull up info. Should try it. Government docs and all.

    That is good news, thanks for sharing Europa an_cheers

    Unfortunately Fupa / Foopa/ Fubar does not care about this news as his avatar of the racist homophobic John Wayne tells one all they need to know about his fake virtu stance on rights, diversity and acceptance.  Shameful yes.

    The world cheers for Griner's release from prison.  Biden administration deserves credit for successful negotiations.  Russians didn't want to include Whelan in the exchange.  So US team rightly took the deal, knowing that getting Griner home is the only possibility.

    The world cheers? an_happybounceGo read the comments and votes. literally 97-3 disapprove of this trade. Russia clearly won this trade. A washed up basketball player who disrespects the US for an international arms dealer who vows to hurt America. They both clearly want to hurt America. The "world" is not happy Russia has a terrorist back while the US has a basketball player who does not support the US.

    Exactly right!  The Russians will not give up their bargaining chip in wake of failure to incorporate Ukraine! They want a really sweet deal that the US cannot reasonably give.

    confused what? The US gave Russia exactly what they wanted. Such a lopsided trade. This is like trading a Ferrari for a rav4 because the rav4 has a back seat when there's only 2 people that need a car. Can you explain your thought process?

    @BigGame90

    This is a sports gambling website.... tell these degens something they might be able to relate to...

    It's like trading an All Star in their prime....for a washed up Sixth man award winner.

    Would you trade Luca Doncic for Sweet Lou Williams straight up???   That's the kind of trade 3rdperson would make....

    Maybe the Biden team worked in a "player to be named later" and will get the USA Marine Vet back home....don't think they are that smart though.

    yep     no way they give up the whelan leverage         they r holding out for a much bigger prize   hoping that public pressure will eventually mount so heavy that our president will b put in an unenviable position of something akin to an NFL trade deal :: give up 5 first rounders and cash to get a running back in return

    Good point. They would make that trade in a heart beat if the 6th man voted blue and the all star voted red. They don't care about their teams winning %, they care about who votes for the all stars.

    Spot on analogy!  That's the bottom line.

    As far as the Russians are concerned Whelan is off the table unless the US makes the worst deal in history, which is something the Biden admin will not do.

    We all witnessed trump cave to Putin in Helsinki.

    If I was Canadian I'd be worried about a whole lot more than Donnie Trump after these past two years.... Sad to see you and your bretheren still slobbing that Orange popsicle.  Think of all the good you could do with all that Big Bad Orange Man energy redirected instead of what you actually choose to spend your time on.  very sad.

    How does it feel for Trump to live rent free in your heads 24/7 paint_help

    You will not survive here. You are not a wolf, and this is the land of wolves now...
