Despite inheriting a mess from Trump, Biden administration has more positive accomplishments in 2 years than in 8 years of other presidencies in the past.  Clearly, he is among the most under estimated presidents in US history.  Below are just some of many accomplishments.

Lowering costs for families.  For examples, energy, drugs and internet service.  Making more in the US.  For example, semi conductor manufacturing.  Expanded benefits for veterans.  First meaningful gun violence reduction legislation in decades.  Historic confirmation of supreme court justice and federal judges of diverse backgrounds.  Protecting reproductive rights.  Historic debt relief.   Rallied the world to support Ukraine against Putin's invasion.  Strengthen alliances and partnerships worldwide.  Successful counter terrorism missions against leaders of Al Qaeda and ISIS.  Advanced equity, racial and criminal justice reforms.  End failed approach to marijuana.  Delivered on the most aggressive climate change action in decades.   More Americans are working than at any point in US history.    More Americans have healthcare insurance than ever before.  Fully vaccinated 78% of US adult population against covid.  Biggest infrastructure investment in decades.

Biden signs bipartisan spending bill to avert government shutdown despite near universal House republican opposition.  Unlike Trump administration, good governments compromise to avoid costly government shutdowns.  Under democrat majorities, 2021-22 congress has been the most productive in decades.

Food drug administration to allow pharmacies to dispense abortion drugs to patients with prescriptions.  Patients don't need to get first drug in person at clinic or hospital.  Also justice department says law allows delivery of abortion drugs by US postal service.  These are important in improving access to abortion. 

I wonder how the MAGA fascists will try to shut this down making abortion more difficult

McConnell joins Biden in Kentucky to announce $2 million investment from bipartisan infrastructure law to upgrade bridge.  Meanwhile, McCarthy continues to struggle in bid to become speaker in House debacle.

A major piece of legislation that the Trump government failed to get done inspite of all their repeated promises!

Covid-19 vaccines have saved more than 3.2 million lives in US, study says

The Covid-19 vaccines have kept more than 18.5 million people in the US out of the hospital  and  saved more than 3.2 million lives, a new study says – and that estimate is most likely a conservative one, the researchers say.

The research comes from the Yale School of Public Health.

Their study, published Dec 13, found that without Covid-19 vaccines,
our nation would have had
•  1.5 times more infections,
•  3.8 times more hospitalizations and
•  4.1 times more deaths
than it did between December 2020 and November 2022.

That bridge carries a surprising amount of freight daily and long since declared unsafe.  Trump had promised to get the bridge repaired but of course he never kept his promise.
