Of course this won't matter to the pseudo-fascism-supporting MAGA-cult.
But it's likely to count some to quite a few of my fellow independents.

Right, what the hell is everyone thinking... Because a president is single handedly responsible for the rise and fall of the stock market How do I put like the rest of you say in these threads.....Oh yeah, only people with common sense and who are not MAGA supporters know that a president has very little impact on how the stock market fluctuates, however they seem to get credit when the market is good and the blame when it is bad How would most of you say it...oh yeah, what a lame response Did that about sum up how most of you respond in here
Never said anything about him being single handedly responsible for the rise and fall of the stock market, just like trump wasn't,but you guys never quit talking about the stock markets when he was in charge.Just like he isn't responsible for inflation or what is going on with Israel and Ukraine, but according to you guys that's all Biden's doing. And if the stock markets were going to shit right now, lemme guess who you'd be blaming.

He is right on the reply above though, exactly what he wrote happened..so how is it ok for the GOP kiddos to credit Trump for the awesome market but not for the Biden kiddos to do the same? And it is not difficult to find where your group were blaming Biden for the market dip during Covid and for all the Ukraine/Israel issues. How does he need to keep up, what he posted is 100% true.
Sounds like you are provoking as usual, but you cant deflect from his reply it is completely legitimate.

So, let's see what has happened to stocks over the first three years of the Biden presidency -- i.e, through the end of January 2024.
Over that period, the price level has risen by about 18%. The real (inflation-adjusted) rate of return in the S&P 500 after three years of Biden is thus only 8%. This is fairly anemic and well below the average annual real rate of return since the New York Stock Exchange opened its doors, which is a three-year average of more than 20%.
Biden's performance is also much worse than the bull market under Donald Trump. The S&P was up 36% in real terms at this time of Trump's presidency, or more than four times better.

Wait, I credited Trump with stock market evaluation.....can you show me where I did this because this is blatantly false
You must have me confused because Trump, just like Biden, has zero impact on the rise or fall of the stock market
And when you say "your" group," who are you referring to because I have made it abundantly clear that I have no group and if you are referring to the Republican side, please point out to all of us here where I have said I am part of the Republican group
Looks like you are up to your old tricks still trying to categorize people to make your point but you couldn't be further from it...see, I have many posts claiming both parties are idiots and I know you have seen them because you have commented so let's stop with this song and dance routine and quit trying to put me with either the Republicans or Democrats....this isn't Lord of the Flies and I don't have to pick a side...both of the parties stink and both suck so please stop with trying to put me in with whoever you think I follow...I talk shit about both parties and both that are in the spotlight...sometimes it's just easier when one side on here is so flamboyant about one person that its easy to point out...
And the "keep"up" reference is a snide remark he made to me in another part of these forums so turn about is fair play...and since you are so biased wall, you can clearly see he quoted a post about Biden and then supported it by saying how great the stock market is in reference to Biden as if he has anything to do with the stock market....that's comedic to even make such a claim...
Can anyone in this forum name one single president that single handedly was responsible for the rise and fall of the stock market??
Odds are you won't find one, so the remark he made is comedic

I think most people agree with this. But it is not completely true that they do not have some influence.
The markets are certainly reactionary; but they are also anticipatory. So, to an extent which guy is likely to get elected has an influence because of the perceived policies they may or may not support. Certainly this is more true for sectors of the market, but they can very well have some influence on the markets overall. This works better if the Congress is also seen as likely to support a President's policies.

Policies, yes, but that is not at the hands of solely any president...I took his response that Biden wasn't destroying the country like scooby said and his reply was record number stock market...I took that as if he was saying that Biden was the reason why the stock market is doing so well when the president is not why the market is doing well
Congress and our Federal Reserve have more influence over the market than any president...yes, of course, policies can influence the market but those are not because of any one president....I would not give credit or the fall of the market to any one president...just because it happens while their in office doesn't mean they were responsible...such a party line response...taking credit for something they have no control over...

Sure, I get that. I am simply saying if you look into it the stock market is not doing as well as people think.
The other thing is that no matter who is in office they automatically get credit for the good that happens and blame for the bad that happens -- simply because they are in office while it happens.
You are correct they do not deserve complete blame or credit -- but they do deserve some.

Ya, ok...try to keep up, as you would say....you responded to and quoted about Biden and then made a claim that about the stock market....good one
I don't think I ever said to keep up,it just doesn't sound like something I'd write unless it was in response to you telling me to keep up and I used it to be sarcastic to you.If Biden or trump or any president did something or even said something to either give people confidence or concern about where the country was headed, that couldn't make the stock markets fluctuate up or down?Argue with you later, gotta go do something.

I have said MULTIPLE times that the government really has little impact on the stock market, said it during the Trump cheerleading junk Ive said it during the Biden blame (like what Raiders did above) and I will always say. The FED runs these markets and in reality the only impact governments have is to let corps do whatever the crap they want without recourse...THAT is how governments impact corps.
Partisan booger flicking is pretty stupid, this is just more of the same stupid fighting day in and out. It would be super cool if you were able to step above the tit for tat you deflected about, so if someone makes a comment why not try to not use the same comment as a dig in return?
