Personally, I think by the time they pass it, if they do, it will be so watered down it will be a major disappointment to Dems and Independents and create a disaster for the Dems in the mid-terms.
White House nearly always loses seats in congress in the first mid-term but this could be a big landslide
Baish, you'll get no argument from me, since I was calling this same scenario last summer *BEFORE* the presidential election! In fact, as I have stated here a couple times, I will be betting BIGLY $$$ on Dems to lose BOTH the House and Senate next year.
Dems likely to be 2 to 1 underdogs since mid-term flips are the norm in modern US politics and I will go with that trend heavily. Politically it won't do much since I don't expect the GOP to have a full 60 vote filibuster-proof majority in the Senate or anywhere close - but they will have the majority. Which is a nothing burger because Dems will block anything and everything -- JUST LIKE THE REPUBLICANS DO NOW -- and if if a bill somehow passed Congress, unless it's a Biden approved plan that helps most Americans (not just the GOP) for the remaining two years Joe will just veto everything.
So even though the GOP *WILL* retake both chambers NOTHING WILL CHANGE for us Americans. The Congress gridlock sh!tshow will continue at least until late 2024 -- 3 long years of phuckall -- due entirely to partisan politics.
Then the dance starts all over again.
But hey, at least I will make a VERY handsome profit off the mid-terms!
