The Biden Presidency: Repairing America.....again

It’s unclear exactly how many people have long Covid. Estimates range from 5% to 80% of those who become infected with the coronavirus. The condition can affect people of all ages, genders, races and ethnicities.

Some can develop long Covid after a mild infection or even after an infection with no symptoms at all.

They may then have long-covid-19 symptoms for a short amount of time or for years.

US Chamber of Commerce CEO Suzanne Clark blames the 40-year high in inflation on a series of other forces unrelated to corporate concentration.
"We know what's happening. We know there's a worker shortage driving wages up. We know there's an energy shortage. There's a housing shortage," Clark said.
Clark stated there are meaningful steps that could be taken to help ease the pressure on prices, including lifting tariffs, boosting legal immigration and focusing on domestic energy production.

Former Trump national security adviser H.R. McMaster is calling on Congress to swiftly fund investments in American computer chip manufacturing, a plan championed by the Biden administration to address global semiconductor shortages.
"It's absolutely critical," McMaster, a retired Army lieutenant general, told CNN in a phone interview.

"If China has a lock on supply chains relating to economic prosperity or our security, that's a really bad thing."

"Supply chains that have been biased in favor almost exclusively of efficiency and low-cost have to be shifted in favor of resilience," McMaster said in the interview.

An epic shortage of computer chips has helped drive up the cost of consumer electronics and caused record price spikes on new and used cars. High car prices are contributing to the worst inflation in 40 years.

Just 12% of the world's computer chips are made in the United States today, compared with 40% in 1990

McMaster is right.   We desperately need this production here again, and even greater than was the 1990 levels.
