According to NPR, Biden administration wants to end hunger and food insecurity by 2030.  A big conference is planned to get things started.  Previously, 1969 conference lead to food stamps and child nutrition assistance.

The hill reveals Biden administration has declared a emergency in Jackson (Mississippi), authorizing FEMA to provide assistance and coordinate disaster relief.  After river flooding, water system has failed to leave residents with little to no drinking water.

So I guess funding a war that is not even our war in Ukraine must be an essential obvious move right? The primary difference is that in Afghanistan we were funding our troops and military effort, regardless of whether or not you believe in the cause. but only now we are funding and supplying military aid to Ukraine as if we somehow have a requirement or necessity to do so. From a humanitarian effort, ok, but I believe we have sent something like 10 billion already to Ukraine plus military equipment. For a war that is not our fight or for our cause (or is it) how does this make sense based on your statement? Knowing that the Russians will continue to fight and fight until they have what they believe is theirs this war is not going away quickly. I would suspect that our spending towards Ukraine's war will not end anytime soon and how does one justify this type of spending when we have our own issues here in the States. Your hate for Trump or the Republican party is so ridiculous that you actually believe that Biden is the greatest president of all time in some slighted or twisted way. The truth is this country is not great at the moment. No political figure should be glorified or degraded during these times, regardless of how you view Biden or Trump or any other politician at this point.

Good luck with your nonpartisan war in Ukraine and keep counting the money being spent there and not here in the US and let us all know how that war affects us here based on the cost of a non NATO member. I'm sure our homeless and defunct businesses and people living paycheck to paycheck are so proud of your boy Biden. You know, that guy you continuously praise day after day as the next messiah. Both Trump and Biden have issues, but your fascination of pumping him up is definitely odd.

Weekly jobless claims fell to the lowest level since late June as employers appear reluctant to part with workers in a tight labor market.
According to a report from the US Department of Labor, 232,000 Americans filed first-time unemployment claims in the week ending August 27, a drop of 5,000 from the previous week's level, and the lowest level since the week ending in June 25, which reported just 231,000 first-time claims.

The decline in first-time claims also beat expectations from economists, who had predicted claims would increase.

The Biden admin will send $1 billion worth of federal grants for manufacturing, clean energy, farming, biotech and more to 21 regional partnerships across the nation, President Joe Biden and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo announced Friday.
