At what point will the people say enough is enough and all these mass shootings in the past 20 years constitute nothing short of domestic terrorism by deranged white men with psychology disorders? At a minimum the assault weapons ban and gun show loophole should be enacted into law when the Democrats retake Congress. We can't wait for our slimy corrupt politicians to save us, we need immediate action or this type of tragedy will just become a shrug of indifference when it happens again.

    White men?

In America, the firearm homicide rate among black men aged 20-29 is about 89 per 100,000. To put that fact into some international perspective, in Honduras — the country with the highest recorded homicide rate — there were 90.4 intentional murders per 100,000 people in 2012.

The overwhelming majority of gun violence in America happens in the inner city and by people in illegal possession of a firearm.

No new gun laws are going to fix this problem.

Why is gun violence so bad in the black community?

Because they are FAR more likely to be raised in broken homes.

Why are they more likely to be raised in broken homes?

Because they are FAR more likely to be on welfare.

What does welfare have to do with it?

Welfare has destroyed the family unit. Look at the numbers before the welfare state was created. This is why black immigrants outperform black natives. Black immigrants are FAR more likely to come from a strong family.

Welfare did not create poverty...poverty existed prior to welfare and exists because of the strong taking from the weak. The problem is getting worse not because of welfare rather the advantage of the wealthy keeps increasing and the size of the population in poverty or moving toward it is also increasing.

You can’t move up the ladder if you’re on welfare. Kids that grow up on welfare don’t even know that normal people work 40+ hours a week.

The ranks of the 1% are constantly changing. People feel that it’s a fixed club and no one else can get in but that’s certainly not the case.

Liberal logic: I have no idea how to respond using facts and data so I’m just going to call you a racist and sneak out the back door of this discussion.

Almost all of America’s issues comes down to do you have a father.  If you do there’s an 85% you won’t be a problem.  If you don’t you are behind the 8 ball socially and economically and the odds are heavily stacked against you.  The pain a kid must feel that your father doesn’t give a shiit about you is almost too devastating to come back from.

There’s so many things wrong about this post where would you start?  There’s an incentive to be not married when you’re on welfare.  Liberals love this because it’s an obvious vote in their pocket.  This issue has nothing to do with the wealthy because it’s always been this way.  When did welfare explode for black people?  Do you know WSC?

I'll take a stab at that. Would it be when Beauregard Slim lost his plantation after the civil war?

Just start with the first sentence. 'Welfare didn't create poverty'.
Nobody said it did.  That's always the issue when you try to have a debate or discussion --- you absolutely have to have a starting point.
One fellow says welfare has destroyed the family unit -- especially the black family; the next fellow then says welfare didn't create poverty.
Hard to start a discussion like that.
So, is the issue to start with that welfare tends to violence?  Or is the issue that poverty tends to violence?  Or is the problem that the ladder is constantly in flux?  Rich people move up and down; poor people move up and down --- with or without using welfare.  Just hard to follow someone's reasoning when their mind is deadset on one thing in particular.

Maybe if the FBI would do their job we might be able to prevent some of these shootings.

Another thing this country needs a lesson in is learning to parent your kids.  30 years ago this wasn’t a problem.  There was discipline in schools.  We are increasing becoming a whiny little pu$$ified nation. Blame everything and everyone else except the culprit.  This country is officially embarrassing.  Once again people will whine about treating the symptom instead of the problem.  PATHETIC!!!!!!!

Which is better?  FBI doing their job or parents raising their kids? FBI can't raise your kids for you. They are by and large reactive on these issues.  Maybe there are a time or two they could have taken heed.  But I think you are more correct about the parenting or lack thereof.

Which is better?   Not sure I understand.  The FBI had information on the punk and they didn’t follow up.  Whoever dropped the ball there should be fired yesterday.  We will never know if it would have made a difference or not.

Parents are to blame for the $hitty upbringing of kids today.  Wanting to be their friends, not my kid etc.........  it’s a joke.  We live in a world today where it’s always someone else’s fault.

and now "Nikolas CRUZ"? Sounds like we may have another "George Zimmerman" case on our hands where he'll be conveniently Caucasian to make some kind of point.

How about the 600-800 BLACK men killed by other BLACK men annually in Chicago alone - that no one seems to even give a S#!T about.....

You sound "deranged" yourself - but what else should anyone expect from someone psychotic enough to "Double Down On 12".....

    Nice try, thanks for playing.....

    100% accurate.
Kids need a father in a major way. I stayed in line and did good in school. That contributes a lot more in the equation than 1% taking from the poor Wall.

Yes the FBI may have failed.  But for sure if we had better parenting I think we wouldn't need to depend on FBI in this type of situation.
I also think it is human nature to look for a scapegoat.  FBI may have its faults; but, the blame should be on tho kid and, secondarily the lack of parenting.  Far and away, tertiarily the FBI. Etc.
