Then why is Trump ranked as the worst president in US history while Biden is above average by survey of historians?  Overlooked is performance under circumstances in judging presidents.  Key difference is that Trump is luckier than Biden.  Trump inherited a strong economy and the near end of war in the middle east from Obama.  Republican DeSantis said that Trump accomplished nothing of legislative significance as president.  Security advisor Bolton said Trump faced no crisis except for pandemic which he mishandled.
