1. Gas prices at least $5 a gallon

2. Health Ins. Premiums up 20-35%

3. Gay marriage legal in all the USA

4. Federal Pot law repealed

5.  Illegal aliens made Legal

6. Electric bills up 25%

7. Stock market drops to 6000

8. Corporations drop medical benefits for their retirees under 65

9. unemployment 10%

10. And for all the posters here, no legal sports betting

Well smart ass, Canada is much better than the U.S. in economic management. In the early 90's, Canada too had a massive debt load, it also faced credit rating cuts across the board, and saw borrowing costs spike as a result but our country responded with deep spending cuts to fix what many economists saw as a ticking economic time bomb. The federal government introduced harsh austerity measures that every Canadian felt social programs were gutted, civil service pay was cut as Canada attempted to decrease its massive 70% debt-to-GDP ratio. In the end, after slowed growth and thousands of lost jobs, it worked. By 2008, Canada went into the global recession with a debt-to-GDP ration of just under 20%. That meant Canada was better prepared than the rest of the developed world to face the effects of the recession. This year, the country’s fiscal deficit is forecasted be $33 billion, well below the 3%-of-GDP threshold that economists consider manageable. Compare that to the U.S.’s 9.2%. So will the U.S. wake up and adopt Canada’s best economic practices? Unlikely with "The Food Stamp President" at the helm. Good luck America you're going to need it.

Economically we are fucked, thats all I care about right now with a 3 month old baby.  No sour grapes for me though... I just have to work harder, make more money, and yet my baby will still have things taken away from him but thats life for the next 4 years.

I've seen you around on this site, based on what I have seen, I know where you stand.  My only issue is the economy as I stated... if you think the economy is going to be better moving forward then you are just ignorant.  If you can't understand my statement, then god help you.

My opinion is really soley based on three factors right now... the well being of my family, the economy and homeland security.  At this point in my life... nothing else matters.... based off recent terror plots and terrorism in general as well as global warming and increased weather patterns.... we are simply living in a unpredictable world and a complete different world than ever right now.  We are almost going towards a every man for themselves type of situation, maybe not now, maybe not in 10 years, but the future sure is scary.  Good luck.

I agree with #'s 1, 2, 5, 6, 7(agree but not to that extent), 8, and 9 (but I personally think we are already at 10%)
