Police officers should be required to maintain prime physical condition to avoid the use of deadly force whenever possible. If two cops cannot control one man who is face down on his stomach without resorting to lethal force, there is something seriously wrong with their conditioning and/or training.
Requesting backup is another option

The nra drama was just the attempt by the right wifes wackos to politicize the issue and attempt to execute their failed strtategy to try to manufacture Anti-Obama sentiment.
So they thought they could bring in libertarians and 2nd Ammendment people by calling themsleves constitutionalists. But this back fired as real constitutionalists figured out that the GOP, palin and her bus with a painting on it was all a fraud, leaving everyone wanting to press the reset button which was a perfect opportunity for trump to walk in an take over the party.
