Truckers Protesting In Canada

The AP has a story out on the protest, here is a quote;

"The protest, which was first aimed at a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for cross-border truckers but also encompassed fury over the range of COVID-19 restrictions and hatred of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, reflected the spread of disinformation in Canada and simmering populist and right-wing anger."

That's funny, wasn't it Justin Trudeau who showed his HATRED by calling protesters violent Fringe minority racists? What kind of reaction do you think he was looking for?  The protesters didn't take the bait.

"reflected the spread of disinformation in Canada" So, what right wing anger and spread of disinformation caused Denmark, Sweden, and Norway to end all covid restrictions? They ALL have case rates higher per capita than Canada yet have THE GOOD SENSE to end the madness.

 I’ve said it multiple times I don’t watch controlled opposition mainstream media. However, wasnt that popular lady on cnn saying on her show that covid stops spreading once someone vax’d gets it? They all lie all the time, same song and dance 

However, to your specific point, yes, of course one would hope that all media (televised/streamed, print, and digital) be both accurate and responsible in their reporting.

Understanable.

However "opinion commentary" on all media sources is a different bird than typical news reporting.  They are held to a different standard but I wish it was the same

dont get me wrong,they should not be carelessly harming anyone that has done no wrong obviously...im old enough to remember when the police mantra was supposedly to SERVE and PROTECT citizens...but if it was reported they trampled over the top of people then i have not seen that and it is exaggerated...but i am not across it very well,just read a couple things so may look at it later.

 Exactly. I don’t understand how people still get caught up in the soap opera. It amazes me how many are still stuck in their own little programmed world. Only their views are correct and everyone who has different views are wrong The powers that be are laughing as the people that are supposed to be on the same team are arguing.

Although it wasnt a significant horse trample, they still did it. Handicap lady went to the hospital but is doing fine. There was actually another one today. Not sure how many people they took out this time since the videos I saw the people were running for safety. 

They are also freezing family members of protesters assets as well.

 yessir...its wild..almost literally like watching a puppet show on a stage where one bops the other over the head with a stick and they all play out their roles in the script whilst idiots in the crowd foam at the mouth and cheer for one character or the other,actually thinking its all real.guys pulling the strings up above laughing their asses off at what dopes we all are...no politician gives a flying fucc about the "common man" and takes orders from people we may never know about,they are ALL bought and paid for so why the fugg anyone would cheer them on as if they are doing a duty for us is beyond me......every 4 years same shi.t under a different banner-perpetual inflation,perpetual war,perpetual sickness,perpetual corporate "favours" etc etc........but nope,they are all independent actors with their own ideas and intention to "change society for the better!!!"

Probation is the single most common sentence in Canadian courts.

For those actually incarcerated, median sentence is 30 days. Even those blockaders who defied police request to go home, who resisted arrest- will mostly walk free.

It's a gentle country.

Who cares about the potential “charges”, they barely charge them with anything because they aren’t breaking any laws. Thats why they are threatening mischief charges because they have nothing to stand behind. They hold them for a couple hours and let them go.

Their mainstream media isn’t showing anything and they are now flocking to social media who are blocking live streams and aren’t allowing you to tag certain people. The police are purposely shooting rubber bullets at peoples phones. It’s the peoples right to protest. They are freezing protesters and their families assets. How is that not an issue to you? 

There’s always hope for the mentally dead to come to the light, but some of you seem so far gone. You need to change what you listen to and watch in order to start to think for yourself. Free minded critical thinking has been lost.

Sorta like screaming deadly insurrection and then charging those held in solitary confinement with trespassing. 

Finally after mounting embarrassment some charged with sedition that we all know will never fly.

 You always touch on the most irrelevant points  Guess it just proves anyone can justify any side of an argument. The honking pretty much stopped after the first week which was way before martial law was enacted. 

They are also finding out the UN is shipping in police, so most of them aren’t even Canadians.

But we just lived through 4 years of bullshit from the former guy & when people in here spew lies or misinformation on purpose, it can't go unanswered. I try to respond with civility in most cases. However, I have no problem making others look like fools when appropriate.

Its unbelievable how butt hurt people still are over trump. Get over it. I thought most of you were “leaving the country” when he got elected. The way everything is going with mandates looks like the bloods are going to start winning everything. 

Well since there are not really health risks to the vaccine anywhere near what the virus has, that is a disingenuous statement and entirely inaccurate. Also how do you figure the vaccine is not working? It is in fact keeping people from having the worst outcomes from covid. A uninformed and uneducated statement. Unfortunately there is a thing with people that the more you try to convince them of the truth the more that they think that the truth is a conspiracy. In this case the truth is science. As far as the the truckers themselves They’re only inconveniencing other truckers. Few are crossing the border for pleasure.

 Don’t really know who this comment was directed towards but I’ll give my opinion.

“Not really” any health risks isn’t too assuring. That fact is no one truly knows because there simply hasn’t been long enough studies. You can’t defy time. What they need to do is be more transparent with potential side effects. Simply trying to quiet people that speak up is not working and it’s actually making the public even more skeptical.
