A great day for our neighbors in the Great White North. Congratulations, the communist Soros WEF funded puppet is no longer in power. The world is healing. God bless.

Let's see how many want to cite Trump comments on 51st state as literal. I maintain we should trade Denmark California for Greenland straight up while we're at it.
I'm willing to just GIVE Denmark the completely fucked up states of: CA, Oregon, Illinois, WA, NJ, NH, VT, and CO

Surprised this being a website located in Canada that Canadians don't talk politics here....that much. The Canadian Liberal Party has their approval rating in the toliet. Trudeau the sacrifical lamb.
The Canucks around here mostly talk US politics.

My bro judging the 3rd largest state geographically by Disneyland. Yeah, Disneyland is what it is. And the area surrounding the park has always been sketch and must be a real shithole now. With that said, if I got food poisoning on 6th street in Austin, I wouldn't be ready to drop the whole state. California had flaws but it is an important part of the country. And like I said, it's huge. You can't judge it by LA or the Bay Area. Same thing with Oregon. People judge Oregon that have never been here. They see something on TV about Portland and they think they know the state. They don't know Oregon. Hell, they don't even know Portland.
@UNIMAN
The UP feels like it's not even on the same planet as Detroit or Flint, does it not?

True, but the Cali highway traffic is incredible too. You can have it.
Am sure there are beautiful sites to see in California.

I wonder if there are any Canadians in the chat....that would like to respond to this news, and/or the trolling that Trump and his sons are doing posting maps of Canada being a 51st state.
I have my opinions about Trump (not a Trump fan), but I am interested in Canadians' perspective. I have some relatives (in BC and Toronto and Manitoba), but I don't talk politics too much, but generally speaking, no one in my immediate Canadian family spoke well of Trudeau, as if it were popular to do so, compare him to his father, even portray him as someone who didn't aspire to head the liberal party (became a teacher actually). I haven't spoken about all this trolling either. I think Trump is questioning Trudeau's legacy now, to stab back at him for Trudeau's anti-Trump rhetoric before this election (???). I think Trump's bloviating (empty commenting) is hard to decipher or explain......just curious.

How did NY state not make the trade list, but NH did? NH state motto is Live free or Die. You can't trade away NJ without any talk for NYC in the mix, if NYC was its own like DC the rest of the state would be red and it's not even close. Albany is literally called smallbany by locals. Springfield Mass is very comparable to size of Albany, but the Cap District includes Troylet and Schenectady makes Albany appear larger on the map. NH and VT are very rural like upstate NY is. The populations of these states are in towns not cities. You could call Burlington a city but take away the college its just a dead smallish city, Rutland is just a town really. Southern NH towns closer to Boston are big towns IMO.
The northeast is basically a big blue bubble, trade all of it or none of it. It is an interesting talking point in this day and age for a country that has zero power and influence that it once had back in the 1600s to have either ownership or govern over lands that are halfway across the world. 400 years ago is just that, Canada is independent of the crown but are they really? Is Greenland really independent from the Dutch? When you really get down to it, they have this cloud over their own government just like a puppet master

Professor Rigakis of Carleton university warns that annexing Canada won't be peaceful because of the risk of turning allies into enemies. Since Canadians are more nationalistic than Americans, any forced annexation could devolve into a nightmare for both countries. Canada ranks among the most heavily armed nations in the world. With military aid from other countries, millions of Canadians could become terrorists using guerilla warfare to destroy US infrastructure. Cost of policing Canada could stretch US resources to allow enemies to take advantage of US vulnerability. Increasing risk of American civil war.

What a bunch of idiots. Trump is trolling Canada and making statements that we don't need their lumber, cars, or milk. Doing this to set the stage for further trade negotiations. His way of gaining the upper hand.
Nothing more.
