I saw that report earlier today. The shooter has been bullied very much in high school, young kids who were being much bullied in school could turn violently against the society grown up.
It's 5.56, which is a military variant of the civilian .223, which is what most AR "style" rifles are chambered in.

That and the FACT that after he became an adult in late September 2021 he registered as a REPUBLICAN (8 months after donating $15 to a left PAC when he was still a 17 yr old minor in high school) according to multiple sources.
So, as an ADULT, he had been a registered REPUBLICAN for almost 3 years.
Thus, a disgruntled REPUBLICAN tried to assassinate the convicted FRAUD/disgusting sex-offender who had just become also a CONVICTED FELON who has brought unbearable ill-repute to the formerly respectable republican party and the kid likely felt any republican candidate would be a far better choice than the fraud king who was also recently rated BY EXPERTS as the *WORST* president in our nation's history...
