President Trump received twin blows Friday to his effort to overturn his election defeat, with Georgia officials certifying President-elect Joe Biden’s slim victory there and Michigan Republicans declaring after a White House meeting that they had learned nothing to warrant reversing the outcome in their state.
The developments were a substantial setback for the president after the tumult of Thursday, when his lawyers held a news conference on Capitol Hill and made incendiary and false claims that Biden had rigged the election and proclaimed their intent to aggressively challenge the results.

Meanwhile, in Georgia, RepublicanSecretary of State Brad Raffensperger certified Biden’s roughly 12,000-vote win, and Gov. Brian Kemp, also a Republican, signed the certification, leaving little chance for a delay of the seating of Biden’s electors there.
Trump can still throw a temper tantrum and demand a pointless recount, but Raffensperger — who has resisted pressure from Trump’s allies to support their claims of irregularities in the vote — has said he does not expect such an exercise to change the outcome.

In Arizona, the last pending legal challenge to the election, involving complaints from two voters that their votes were not properly counted, was dismissed Friday. And in a unanimous decision, the five-member Maricopa County Board of Supervisors — four of whom are Republicans — voted Friday to certify that county’s election results, vouching for the integrity of the voting process.

In Nevada, the statewide results are expected to be certified Tuesday. The following day, a Carson City judge is to hear the Trump campaign’s argument that the results should be overturned or annulled as a result of what the campaign said were widespread irregularities and fraud. S imilar claims have met with defeat in other court proceedings in Nevada.

This week, trump phoned a GOP official who voted to certify the Biden results in Detroit. Soon after, she and her fellow Republican board member subsequently tried to rescind their confirmatory votes, a move the secretary of state’s office said was NOT permitted.
Michigan’s attorney general is exploring whether officials risk committing crimes if they bend to Trump’s wishes in seeking to block the certification of Biden’s victory in their state, according to two people familiar with the review.

NAACP legal defense fund has filed a lawsuit accusing Trump campaign of violating voting rights act. He is pressuring election officials not to certify legitimate votes based on false allegations of fraud to suppress thousands of voters especially minorities. No evidence backs false allegations consistently debunked at courts in many states. Desperate Trump is the enemy of law and order by promoting chaos.

Trump's attempt to steal the election unravels as coronavirus cases surge
Analysis by Gregory Krieg
On Saturday night, the Trump campaign requested a second recount in Georgia, a day after top Republican state officials certified his defeat following a statewide audit. This one will be done by machine and is even less likely to reverse his fate. Hours earlier, a federal judge rejected the Trump campaign's latest effort to disenfranchise millions of voters -- this time in Pennsylvania.

More republican leaders are speaking out. After 34 court losses, Christie calls Trump's legal team a national embarrassment for continuing to question election results without presenting evidences in court. They allege frauds in public but don't raise them in courts because of consequences for providing false information. Furthermore, Hogan says US used to be respected worldwide for its elections. but looks like a banana republic under dictator Trump. Now is the time to stop the nonsense. The nation must be put first over politics.

Pennsylvania’s lieutenant governor says the election was “free, fair and election results are true”
Fetterman, a Democrat, was joined by Philadelphia County Commissioner Al Schmidt, a Republican, to push back against voter fraud and voting irregularity claims from the Trump campaign and Republicans.
“Our Electoral votes are going to go to Biden. And the Trump campaign is going to perhaps continue to lie about the conditions on the ground. But it’s not going to change anything. Everyone knows how this movie is going to end, including the President.”

GOP senator criticizes Trump for pressuring state lawmakers ahead of vote certification
After first congratulating President-elect Joe Biden for his win over the weekend, Republican Sen. Pat Toomey criticized President Trump for reaching out to state lawmakers in his attempt to block or delay the certification process in key states as part of a long-shot effort to overturn his election defeat through the Electoral College.
"The idea that a sitting president would try to ...pressure, cajole, persuade state legislators to dismiss the will of their voters and select their own group of electors and send them to the Electoral College ... that's completely inconsistent with any kind of truly democratic society so that shouldn't be going on in my view," Toomey told CNBC on Monday morning.
