Hmmmm....this Tea Party you speak of, do you mean they want to cut spending and really don't care about social issues? Do you have a good example of a candidate that takes this position? I tried googling but the names that came up were some Senator from Minnesota who wants to have abortion doctors tried for murder, some Senator from KY who wants a fetus declared a person upon conception, some candidate from Missouri who thinks that rape victims can control pregnancy, and some other Senatorial candidate who said that if happy marriage is approved, they next step is bestiality.
Interestingly, when I kept googling, I found a few candidates who don't seem to care too much about g-a-y marriage or if women have abortions. One is a governor from NJ who has cut taxes, reduced spending, fought with government unions, and increased business in his state. The other is this Senator from Arizona who voted with his party 95% of the time but doesn't seem to care about abortion or g-a-y marriage. Same with this Senator from Maine and a different Senator from KY.
These people are referred to as something called a RINO? I'm confused. Is it because they like the zoo?
Lol.. Picking on you DJ is like shooting fish in a barrel.
Even Wikipedia understands Tea Party is about spending issues, not social issues ;

""The Tea Party has generally sought to avoid placing too much emphasis on traditional conservative social issues. National Tea Party organizations, such as the Tea Party Patriots and FreedomWorks, have expressed concern that engaging in social issues would be divisive.[21] Instead, they have sought to have activists focus their efforts away from social issues and focus on economic and limited government issues.[22][23 ""
