I like the AP story from 2021 with headline; EXPERTS: FALSE CLAIMS ON VOTING MACHINES OBSCURE REAL FLAWS
Third paragraph says; Halderman told The Associated Press in a phone interview that while he’s seen no evidence the vulnerabilities were exploited to change the outcome of the 2020 election, “there remain serious risks that policymakers and the public need to be aware of” that should be addressed immediately to protect future elections.
Then way, way down; Halderman was tasked with evaluating the machines, not with looking for evidence that potential vulnerabilities had been exploited in a past election.
Ok, so he wasn't even tasked or brought in to look for evidence. Then why in the 3rd paragraph say "he's seen no evidence" implying he had looked. 
That is how the media works. 
And how are supposed false claims obscuring real flaws?

So first thing that comes to mind is this happened on Friday in a Georgia courtroom. Yet no news agencies talk about it including Fox and New York Post so I am not pointing partisan fingers here. Fox I could maybe understand wanting to avoid anything Dominion or voting machine, but the rest? Hmm?

In my Google searches of the 2018 demonstration again I find no major news outlets covering this story either.
Not going conspiracy here but seems kinda weird.
Canadian news outlet CBC radio interviewed Halderman in Nov of 2018.
Halderman; So this voting machine is still used in 18 states including all of Georgia. And I was able to buy one government surplus on eBay actually and figure out how it could be hacked.
This malicious software that I've developed can spread to the voting machines over a wide area, and it runs in the background. As people are voting, it just silently switches a certain fraction of votes to favour the candidate that the attacker prefers.
Unfortunately, they can still be hacked and this is what keeps me up at night. The voting machines, unfortunately, are not as isolated or as disconnected from the internet as they might seem.

CISA found no evidence vulnerabilities of voting machines have ever been exploited in any election. Voting machines are tested before and after elections to find any problem. It doesn't matter what happens in voting machines because of paper audits by hand after elections. But conspiracy theories undermine public confidence in fair elections and thereby threaten democracy.

J Alex Halderman; Well unfortunately, the optical scanners that read paper ballots are just as vulnerable. The good thing though. about having a paper ballot that the voter filled out, is there's something you can go back to later to spotcheck and confirm whether the computers are correct. Now in the U.S., unfortunately, although the majority of votes are now recorded on paper, most states don't routinely look at it, or at least they don't look at enough of the paper to have a statistically significant check on the computer results. And that means, unfortunately, that we're much more vulnerable than we need to be.

Haiderman theory isn't backed by reality. Historically, voting fraud is so rare that no outcome of any major US election has ever been dictated by widespread fraud. But baseless conspiracy theories promote unwarranted fears of technology and voting fraud. Research shows voting machines are more accurate than human counting of ballots. Homeland security department found that 2020 election is the most secure in US history. Actually, the most common way of rigging elections come from politicians lying. No other politician lies as often as Trump.

An expert witness, who was paid six figures by the plaintiffs, gave expert testimony that favors the plaintiffs’ theories.
Guess what? The other side will have an expert witness too.
Nobody is saying nothing can be hacked. What is silly though is treating his testimony as some sort of basis for the 2020 election being hacked.
Remember, the orange dotard has a batting average of .000 in lawsuits arguing the election was hacked. 0 for 64. It’s because they had no evidence (Rudy Giuliani spouting hearsay isn’t evidence).
