BATTLE FORUM III CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW

   ATLANTA VS MONDO

The Battle Forum III Championship is finally here. Atlanta will battle Mondo in a matchup between 2 of the hottest Gladiators in the tournament. 

Atlanta was scorching hot up until the Semifinal round where he struggled but still came out with the win over DS0589. Atlanta cruised through the 1st Round finishing 1st. That set up a date with Degosfinest. Atlanta blasted Degosfinest and advanced to the Semifinals where he defeated DS0589 as mentioned earlier. Atlanta is a streaky Gladiator. He has the ability to go on a torrid winning streak and he should be able to hold his own against Mondo. 

Mondo is making his 2nd appearance in the Battle Forum Championship and is attempting to another Title as well. Mondo finished 3rd in the 1st Round and that set up an epic battle with Thedeakon. Mondo won that tough battle over Thedeakon and advanced to the Semifinal round with another tough matchup against Pillsbury. Mondo defeated Pillsbury by getting hot at the right time It's something that he has become a master of. 

Now these 2 Gladiators will face-off for the chance to be among the Immortals. Both Gladiators are known for their mental toughness. Both are crafty and use chess strategy to outwit their opponents. Who will become our next Battle Forum Champion! Who will bring home the coveted Battle Forum Trophy! This Battle Forum Championship will be our most exciting yet. Who is gonna win? It's too close to call but one thing we know for sure, history will be made one way or the other. Will Atlanta win his first Battle Forum Championship or will Mondo do the impossible and win a 2nd Battle Forum Championship? We will know the answers to these questions and more in 2 weeks after watching these fine Gladiators fight it out. This is the Battle Forum!

Mondo is shrewd, and seems to know when "He don't know". He is one of the most consistent cappers when it comes down to not having losing days, much less losing streaks. I'm hoping to get ahead, because I don't want to have to catch him from behind. 

Good luck Mondo, but not until I have an insurmountable lead!

ATLANTA STRIKES FIRST!

Atlanta struck first in this Battle Forum Championship with an easy winner in Seattle. Meanwhile Mondo was quiet as he's planning his big move on Sunday.

I have to thank sweet baby Jesus for getting me back to 500. I expect more from the both of us....well from me anyway.lol. Will Mondo have to dust off the shelf to make room for another trophy? Will Atlanta step up and retire the trophy to warmer climate? Stay tuned...

CHAMPIONSHIP BATTLE ALL TIE UP!

The Championship Battle is all tied up as both Gladiators struggled in the 1st week. Mondo went 4-4 and Atlanta went 4-4. This sets us up for a fantastic
last week of the Battle Forum Tournament as both Gladiators must come out swinging for the fences.

Just a reminder to our Championship Finalist. If there is a tie we will play a week OT to decide the next Champion. I automatically added a week at the beginning specifically for that purpose so fight on!

Took Atlanta -8 late and starting to wish I hadn't. If they aren't good enough to pick the first time, don't make them better later.

Atlanta Takes The Lead!

Atlanta has taken the lead over Mondo as both Gladiators are finally in the Black. It's been rough going for these 2 Gladiators in the Championship Final but we're set up for an exciting finish as Atlanta has a small lead and this could go either way. There is only 4 games remaining and the way it's looking we may not have a winner until Monday night. Stay tuned!

Congrats Atlanta...a worthy and now fellow battle forum champ. Looking back on this week I made some really bonehead selections. I jumped on some early lines and it didn't payoff....I picked all road teams except one...that was stupid. Well played and I know we will go at each other in many more contest to come. And to all the other gladiators out there spread the word about the battle forum contests that smooth does an awesome job with. Let's get some more duckets up in here....and as always "sweet pickin'" covers brothers.

It was a close match-up. I know I made a bonehead decision when I put in Denver last night when I'd already won if I'd waited for Covers to post the winners of the Giants New Orleans game.
