Adam Eaton is 5-0 lifetime against the Knickabockermetropolitans with 2.90 era, the Phillies know that they have lost 3 in a row to the Mets, and something has to give and this time it will be itnegJ, enoggniog  and the Mets. The reality of the time spent beating Washington the day prior to the trip will start to show now. The Phillies have been going home and getting razzed by wives and neighbors.

I disagree and like the Mets in this one.  Rollins is out again for Philly, and their lineup has not been the same without him.  Pelfrey is a good young arm, and he should find success against this Phillies lineup.  He enters this game with a 2-0 record with a 1.50 ERA.  Mets are 7-0 in their last 7 NL East games.....Mets get the W here tonight.

Look for Phils to explode offensively today against a very shabby Pelftry after being held to just 6 runs in their last 2 home games. I look for phils to score 8+ today, over is nearly a lock. Eaton has had a rough Spring but seems like he is out to prove that he is a worthy ML starter so far this season. Phils 10 Mets 4, GL.

I root for the mets, but the home team that loses the first 2 games of a three game series, wins the third one 75% of the time. Can't bet against  my metsies....

Pelfrey might have pitched the best game of his career last time out and his last 2 starts have been terrific.  I would take the Mets tonight.

Jimmy Rollins will most likely not be in the lineup Sunday.
Rollins took fielding practice Saturday but called his ankle "75 percent" healthy. "Still no time frame. It'll probably be a couple of more days," he said. Phillies trainers said they would rather Rollins not pinch-hit.

Hillarious......Aside from the fact that you are from Philly, you can not logicaly refer to Pelfrey as a "shabby pitcher" at this point in the season.  He has an ERA of 1.50 and handled the Phillies last meeting.  He is a good young talent and should have a decent season.  I am from Boston - not a NY fan at all - but Eaton and the Phillies just don't match up well in this one.

Off to a 2-0 start today with the White Sox under and the Braves under (see the threads)........Mets complete the sweep for me today.
