For God's sake!! The key to the Lakers winning this series is SO SIMPLE!! You've got 2 perennial all star, big, strong seven footers who can also pass, and a future first ballot H.O.F.'er running the point - ON THE SAME TEAM!!!
Put Gasol on one side of the box - Howard on the other, the feed the big dogs. Wash, rinse, repeat....... When one of them needs a rest, stick Jamison in there, but keep the half court game going.
Who do the Spurs have that could even come close to defending this? Tim Duncan? Maybe 10 years ago.....
Also, I don't care what mix of Lakers you have out on the floor, M.W.P. firing up bricks with 12 seconds left on the shot clock should NEVER be an offensive option. 2-9 from the floor?? 1-5 from the 3 point range? I mean, c'mon, I'd like to see the stat of how many times in his carrer "Ron-Ron" has shot less than 25% from the field. I bet it's at least half the time.....
But, because I'm a sadist, I'm giving the Lakers M/L bet one more chance - got in at +425. If they throw up another stinker, I'll see y'all in September - and Mike D'Antoni at the unemployment line.....

The Lakers lost game 1 due to turnovers and 3pt shooting. Spurs made 4 more 3s and 4 more FTs. That's 16pts right there. TO ratio was 18-9. The Lakers actually shot better and out rebounded the Spurs. But because of TOs, Spurs had 12 more shot attempts.
Cut down the TOs, make your FTs, and hit a few more 3s and voila!
Stay away from the -11. Lakers play this close tonight.

probably a better game tonight, see the lakers making it closer this time, but, pop knowing we will be out there on Friday may well try to end this game early as possible.was WAY wrong on the last game.so leaving the points alone as it could go either way, but, thinking about going UNDER here.spurs will win but it'll be closer than last time around.

O.K. - I've calmed down and thought about it. Obviously, neither the Spurs nor the Lakers (both high profile teams) are going anywhere this year (Celtics, too - same reason). But, I'm sure that more people are watching this (and the Celtics) particular game on TNT than Hawks / Pacers on the deep cable NBA channel (ummmmm, anybody watching Heat / Bucks????? Anyone?????).......
Anyways, Lakers win this game, simply because that's what everyone's watching, and they need to stretch this out for as long as possible. You heard it here first............ $$$$$$$
UNLESS - much like CP3 for the Clippers, there's some kind of last minute "prayer" that get answered... But Spurs do not and will not cover even if that happens.......
And my backup is that Kobe F***ed everybody by pulling a "Dominique Wilkins" and wrecking his achilles and therefore throwing everything out the window...... My money's on the media already in place, though..........
Good Luck All!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck San Antonio getting swept by whoever plays you next, I love the crowd chanting "M.V.P." for friggin' Tony Parker - really??? How about POP should be getting all of the acccolades, and maybe Tim Duncan getting like 18% of the accolades.......
