I like the back and forth too, most people won't do it... but anyways... the Pats run D isn't great but AZ does play 6 games against 3 horrible divisional foes.... Their overall schedule is mixed but when they play good/great teams on the East coast they tend to get killed. And some of those teams really didn't have great offenses, the Pats O is pretty damn good.  Also, the Cardinals WRs can be contained... Warner didn't even get to 300 yards against the Vikes with 45 attempts, and the Vikes pass D lets up alot of yards.

this is one angle to consider, because i look for these games...

i'm my experience, the way to bet the NFL is not to look for value in the lines... for example, looking for value would have tempted you to take Cle (+16) on Monday... but the reality is you should look at a line like that and forget about value... Philly was bound to rip them up because of the spot... my gut feeling on this game (before seeing a line) was that the Patriots are gonna ambush Arizona... then i see a line and my first reaction is that its too high... but i know better... a line that is meant to scare you off should really be saying feel free to bet the Pats up to 10 or 11... they will cover it, most likely by halftime...

all valid points adding up to a solid argument. the cross country travel  syndrome is the biggest ? going in. yes the pats o is explosive, however they still have a BACKUP qb playing december football for the first time. Welker has been the only consistent, Moss has been taken out of several games this year. if the line were 3 or 6, i would possibly waver a bit. i stand firm with arizona and 9, just cant see a pats blowout. bol

An 8/8.5 spread does really mean they should beat them up.
New Englands fans will bet this game and Vegas knows that.
    weather could factor.
    need to look more.
    Leaning NE if good weather
bad weather staying off i think

Arizona's strength (passing offense) matches up perfectly with the Pats weakness (pass defense.)  Arizona sukked last week and I don't see them repeating it here.  I would not be shocked at all by an outright win by Arizona.   However I don't recommend you throw down $$ on Cardinals moneyline.

I am staying away from this one but if forced I would take AZ -8.

You've been listening to too much EEI... Just kidding! I agree with you that this is gonna be a tough cover for the Pats. I think it's one of the better plays on the board this Sunday. I'll be laying off too, but it's tempting. GL

i'm my experience, the way to bet the NFL is not to look for value in the lines... for example, looking for value would have tempted you to take Cle (+16) on Monday... but the reality is you should look at a line like that and forget about value...

I like the way you think, I feel the exact same way!

Looks like slushy field conditions but no snow...as predicted in Seattle/jets game....going over.....low total for two teams that can put em up fast.....I am sure that the Cards didnt like being questioned by reporters how they felt about getting their asses kicked at home and would think they will try a lil harder this week....I would love to see an upset!

The more I looked at this game, the more I like AZ here. This is the best play on the board this weekend. Pats have no business giving 9 points, especially considering the weather this weekend.

    AZ covers easy.

    New England - 38              Arizona - 6
    Patriots -9                   under 44.5
If Arizona were in the AFC East they would be in 4th place.
Nothing for the Cards to play for in this one....

i can easily see the pats roll into the playoffs on a nice streak.  the elements will clearly not favor warner and co, but talented enough to contribute to the over.

almost forgot to mention one of my favorite angles at work here.  the west coast team playing on the east coast at 1pm.  body clocks will still be in the am for the cards.

Agent, only a two hour difference at this time of year FYI. My son lives in AZ. But I agree on the body clock thing its been working all year against the west coasters.

dont be surprised if AZ lies down after the half. i think their main concern will be to get out of NE and the east coast without anyone getting hurt. Before i saw the line i thought NE will beat up on AZ in a must win situation at home, but the line does make you hesitate which means vegas is doing thier job right as usual. with Cassell losing his father and NE playing like a team and the coaching edge gotta  go with NE to win easy. and with everyone focused on the weather the line will drop and the over will be the play. i watched the line all week and it stayed at 7.5-8 and is now down to 43.5 since all the talk about the weather. the line not moving means people are taking the points or laying off and the last thing vegas wants is people to win money . I'm taking NE and hope people do take AZ so the points go down to 6.5 but like them to win by 14.
