Well before you go dropping the kids college tuition on the cards....
Note that the Cards are missing 5 possibly 6 linebackers this week against a 49er offense that runs the ball very well. It's in San Fran. and they haven't forgotten the drubbing handed too them by the colts at home a few weeks ago. I would expect a solid effort against this divisional foe. They owe one to the fans here and they know it, plus they gotta keep pace with Seattle.

Last week, we mentioned how the Texans offensive scheme didn't bode well for a matchup vs the 49ers in Candlestick, and we were fortunately right. This week we are going to zig-zag our way against the 49ers as this line in inflated as a result of their previous blowout victory.
My simple logic for a play on the Cardinals will be their defense vs this 49er offense. The Arizona Cardinals may not statistically rank in the top 5 on defense, but they are quietly going under the radar as one of the best defenses in the NFL. Especially with the return of suspended stud linebacker Daryl Washington who had 8 tackles and 2 sacks in his season debut against the Panthers last week. Facing a confident Carolina Panther team coming off a blowout victory and a bye week, the Cardinals defense had one heck of an outing. They sacked Cam Newtown 7 times, intercepted him 3 times, held them to 0-3 in the redzone, and forced a fumble as well. In fact, in their last 3 games, they have sacked opposing quarterbacks 13 times, had 6 interceptions, and forced 2 fumbles!! This is not an ideal matchup for the 49ers as they are challenged at the wide receiver position and will be facing an elite secondary. Not to mention, the Cardinals rank 3rd in the league against the run!! They have yet to give up a 100 yards rushing in a game, and the highest total rushing yards allowed by a single back was 63 yards!!
Now they haven't faced an offensive line like the 49ers yet, but I expect them to hold their own. As for their offense, I don't expect them to have great success against the 49ers either. But I would argue that they have the tools in place to keep this game interesting: depth at wide receiver, a veteran quarterback, and 2-back tandem that isn't elite, but is getting the job done.
I would imagine Coach Arians has placed a couple calls to his old friend Chuck Pagano, and is asking him just how his Indianapolis Colts went into Candlestick as 10-point dogs and pulled off the improbable upset. Who knows??? We might just see it happen again!
My Final on my game of the week:

Agree with ace here, two weeks ago everyone was saying how much trouble the niners were in and how bad Kap was, they beat a terrible rams team and a Texan team with a qb afraid to do anything right now. We seen what Richard Sherman did to boldin holding him catch less and I'd expect Patrick Peterson to do something similar. Not sure what the status of Ray McDonald is going into this but if he's out and the cardinals can block for Palmer watch out....upset alert!

The 9ers get it done one this win an cover game only because I see the 49ers def winning this game for them with Palmer throwing 9 picks so far this year an also a one two punch by gore an keeper nick will keep it an run the ball

San Fran Looks good again , Colin Kaepernick and the defense seems to be back online after wavering a bit. That said take Fitzgerlald out of the game ,and pressure on palmer , , play some man to man and you have taken AZ out of the game.
San Fran -11 reels it in the 4th Qaurter.

I hear ya Quad. Obviously Arians and the Cardinals brass know that Palmer is not the quarterback of the future. He has thrown an interception in at least every game this season. Last week was his worst performance in throwing 3 INTs. Although isn't that a sign of a tough team? He threw 3 picks last week and they still won 22-6. Who knows??? Maybe that trend gets broken this week. I just see the Cardinal defense coming to play as a double digit dog. And when you're laying that much chalk, a solid defensive effort could be all the difference in covering. I'm hoping 14-17 points just might be enough to cover this line.
good luck

Damn! dont know to take SF-1 or Zona+21 on a 10point teaser. SF does have those game were they badly or not up to their par. i can see a close game here. i dont trust Kap. even though he`s all over TV much more then the Qb who won the superbowl MVP. why do people hate on Flacco? he`s 9 n 4 in the postseaon, won a playoff game in each of his 5 season, has never missed a game. i guess he just doesnt do cool things like kissing his arm when he scores a TD, he just highfives his players. you give him time and he`s just as good as anybody except peyton,Brady,Breese, and Rodgers, their in a league of their own. but Flacco still has the strongest arm in the NFL by far. his Oline n the lack of running game is hurting him this season but you give him time to throw like he had in last years postseason and he can and did tie Montana's postseason record with 14 TD`s ans 0 INT`s. stop hating on the Ravens n Flacco, and that year 2000 DE was the best ever, setting records for the fewest points alound in a single season. they won 5 games in 5 weeks without scoring a offensive TD that year. i would love to see another team do that again. Baltimore`s 2000 superbowl DE will never be touched. they shutdown Oakland in the AFC championship who at the time had the recored of most points scored. Oakland scoed 3 whopping points. and the giants in the superbowl probaly had 2or3 ist downs, and only scoring on a kick return. again, that 2000 DE will never be touched. just check the records if you think the steelers ever came close , or the Bears DE. also they went two seasons n 5 games before they ever gave up a 100 yard rusher. thats only 37 games. stop hating on the francise who is in the top 20 of all sports francises. thats along the Yanks, manchester united, Barconlona.AND STOP STEELING ARE CHANT!!! OH OHHHH OH OH. ALL THESE WACK TEAMS TAKING ARE CHANT, GUESS ITS A LOT BETTER THEN WAVING A YELLOW FLAG SAYING "here we go steelers here we go" where are y`all going antways? that chant is wack like clock radio speakers. STOP STEELING THE RAVENS CHANT!!!

Might see more of Kaep's arm today if the Cards find a way to stop the ground game, which they certainly can. Not too many reliable recivers right now for my 49rs. Lst week the D won that game hands down and offense had a easier time of it. If Palmer gives us few int's or fumbles,we will cover this today but, easier said then done. I think the 49rs will win this very important divisional matchup regardless

Aside from SF, I took this game to go over the total.
I added SF after dropping N.O. and NY JETS from my initial picks as I did not like the line especially when Pittsburgh was favored and NE stayed 1 point favored even when most of the public liked N.O.
I also put back KC even though QuadYeah warned me about this play as I didn't have any other team I liked in the 1st session.
I still like DALLAS and San Diego Monday night.
