I NEVER NEVER post on here but being from philly, east rutherford isn't all that far in the grand scheme of things hence the hatred for the giants( that being said I would bet them if I liked them, I do not like them tommrrow). For those thinking this game is going to be played in the cold you are sadly mistaken. It has been incredibly unseasonably warm in the Northeast this year and temp around game time is 50 and sunny perfect football weather even for a dome team. I just wanted everyone in on that little tid bit

Don't think that Matt Ryan has EVER beaten the NYG!!! I think that you read the score wrong. The NYG BEAT Atlanta 34-31 in OT in New York when Ryan was the QB!!

It is hard to like the Giants here because I tend to see them as a circus act. You just can't take them seriously as a threat, especially with Eli at QB. The Falcons are are quiet team, yet consistent the last 2 seasons. Love the Falcons here.

I'm changing my mind and will take Giants at -3.  It would be nice to get -2.5 but I don't think this will happen.
Looking at the previous plays from both teams, both Giants and Falcons play poorly against strong-offense team when they are on road.  Falcon played both GB an NO and did well only when they are at home.  They got murdered when visiting these two.  Same goes with Giants, they played GB and NO and got murdered when traveled but came closed to winning at home.  This tells me home field advantage is huge in this game! Giants at home almost beat GB.  These two teams are very evenly matched in every way.  Home advantage is the key.  Giants -3

my pick is under.it will be a running game.ball will not be flying around like most people think.both sides will minumize turn overs and interceptions.if i had to pick a team i guess i like giants. i agree what (nevergo4less) said about "home field advantage".

Seems most people are leaning towards the Falcons because of the Giants inconsistencies and injuries.

 I understand that, but what I also understand is for whatever reason this team seem to always play up/down to their competition.  Being the playoffs, I don't see that as a problem this afternoon

And even though the Jets game was a 'road' game they have not had to travel since the win @ Dallas on 12/11/11.

The Giants crowd was louder than I have ever heard them at snoopy stadium against the Cowboys last week and that should help vs. a Falcons team that is not as impressive on the road. I would try and find a line of  Giants -2.5 since I think there will be a few floating around after all the TV EXPERTS pick the Falcs on the gameday shows.

Gentlemen -  the stage is setting up for payback by the atlanta falcons after being knocked out of teh playoffs at home as the #1 seed by the #6 seeded green bay packers last year. Where does atlanta go after beating teh giants? That's right. Green Bay, Wisconsin. Payback is best served cold or frigid in this case.

It's time to get some of those flashy red starts. Does anybody have any recommendations on the books offered? I noticed they are located in Panama/Costa Rica. Makes me nervous when it becomes time to get paid having recently vacationed in Central America.

Replace Vietnam with Jersey. Falcons are a team that plays inside a climate controlled gym, now they'll be out in the open air with the sun in their eyes.

The best NFL Capper once again went 2-0 yesterday ( as posted on this board ) and still holds a 87% NFL Playoff record since 2000.  

Here's what he says about this game:

The Giants have an advantage in depth in two key areas , running back and the defensive line. At running back, Atlanta is dependent on Michael Turner to control time of possession during the game, while the Giants have two good running backs in with opposite styles in Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs . On the defensive line, the Falcons have a proven pass rusher in John Abraham, while the Giants have three in Osi Umenyiora, Jason Pierre-Paul and Justin Tuck . Because of their four man pass rush ability, the Giants can play a coverage that limit big plays, while Atanta will have to take risks to get to Eli Manning. Last week the Giants did a good job on Jason Witten, Dez Bryant and Miles Austin of the Cowboys and I think they can do the same with the Falcons trio of Tony Gonzalez, Dez White and Julio Jones. I'm taking the Giants to cover the spread.  Giants -3

That's right.  I had Giants big on the cover though in that one.  Felt like a loss.  I do worry about whether Atl's offensive line can protect Ryan.  They struggled in New Orleans and I saw a Detroit team handle that pressure pretty well last night.  Still really feel Atl here.  It just feels like their time as opposed to a Giants team who I'd rank as the most inconsistent team in the NFL this year.
