Under 44.5 both teams can score and New england's defense SUCKS......but Vegas is probably trying to bait everyone to take the over, but under is the small play for me. if I had to pick a side, then baltimore -3.

New England normally does well coming off of byes. Baltimore has a nasty habit of blowing covers on the road, especially after covering as home favorites. However with that being said, when one considers the Pats apalling lack of defense, coupled with the Ravens O , plus winners of 4 of the last 5 games, I find it hard not to take:

There is entirely no question about it that the Raven defense is much better than the Pats. They are probably in the top 3 with Pitt and Ny. But in this game there are a few things to like about the Pats here. Coming off the bye and the fact that in their last game the defense and special teams showed what they can be capable of against a formidable opponent. Not saying the Dolphins are better than the Ravens but the Dolphins are a well balanced team and it was on the road. Many might also overlook that the Pats beat the Ravens last season in their first meeting. Both of these teams are much different than the last time they played. The majority of the public loves the Ravens here and though it might seem that this game is a setup it is not. Ravens are averaging 12 points on the road this year. They are still adapting to their new offense and Flacco hasnt exactly been lighting it up.a 54 qb rating and 6 interceptions. While it might seem bias because I am a Pats fan, I am looking at this game objectively and I see an obvious weakness and thats the Raven offense. I think Brady and the Pats score enough and the young secondary makes enough plays to pull this one out.

Look for the Pats to revenge last years playoff loss against the Ravens this week. With Branch back with the Patriots, Brady has a more versatile WR that can run different routes + formations that compliments well with Welker.

Best team in football plays a team that is breaking in an old wide receiver re-tread. The Patriots are -3, but the moneyline is only -140, and not -165/-170 like it should be. The books are trying to cut down on the reward for Ravens bettors. I could care less. I don't see a need for points. Keep taking a team that has the other teams' number without questioning why. Keep the 3 points. Ravens+120 Moneyline

the ravens dont need flacco. everybody was saying that they cant run the ball. and like i said last week , thats cuz they havent untill last week. the ravens are going to run and run and run. they`ll keep brady off the feild and wear down NE de-line. and as far as special teams goes the ravens have a top 5 punter in the league and their kicker just kicks touchbacks all day. and in the loss of the 1st meeting lastyear, if mark clayton doesnt drop that ball that hit him in the chest at the 2 yeardline it would`ve been another B-MORE...WIN. like always if the ravens dont turn it over more then 1 time its a B-MORE....WIN. but like always i`ll tease them with somebody. i`ll post my 3team 10point teaser later in the week. but baltimore +12.5 is already 1 of them. no doubt it`ll be a tough game for my boys. this will be the end of the hardest part of their schedule. as they played 4 of their 1st 6 games on the road. NYJ,CINCY,PITT and now NE. once again tough game but i think the ravens are just too physical for that soft NE defence...

Ur def a homer and I might be to a certain extent, but dont the home/road splits mean anything to you??? The Pats have been dominant at home virtually every year this decade. Last years playoff loss was an ass pounding, but that game got out of hand early and was over after the first quarter. The Ravens are a tough team but on the road this year they are terrible! 13 points a game on the road! While they have played arguably the top defenses in the league in the Jets and Steelers, they managed to put up 10 points against the Benagls, who have a mediocre defense at best. Flacco had a 24 qb rating that game! The Ravens are a very good team and many consider them to be Superbowl caliber, but they are still adjusting offensively and their defensive front, is struggling to get a consistent pass rush on the qb. Tom Brady might not be able to throw 60 yard bombs to Moss, short intermediate passes to Welker, Branch and Hernandez will be enough to move the ball. Another thing, the Pats defense is not soft, they are young and gaining experience by the week. Coming off a bye is even more reason to like them. So dont be a homer, you'll be losing your money

Gotta think with no Moss then the Ravens can concentrate on stopping Welker. Took Baltimore +3 -120 (1 unit). Revenge game too from the humiliation during last season's playoff game.

if you ever read my post i tell it how it is. if i think my boys are going to lose like i did when we played cincy i will. i said this is going to be a tough game for my boys but i do think that their going to run the ball all day on that SOFT defense and control the clock. yeah i can see new england winning why do you think im teasing it? but like i said tom cant throw the ball we he`s watching rice, willis and MCclain run.
never a homer when it comes to money...

and how can we be terrible on the road when their 2n1 and beat the JETS and PITT? the ravens win ugly.
i just hope that suggs ngata and lewis are aloud to touch tom tom without a flag being thrown. does anybody remember those roughing the passing flags in that game? it was almost funny. oh yeah and when suggs made the cleanliness sack on carson palmer and they flaged him for roughing the passer and witch then cincy went on to score the game winning TD. i do think the refs going into games and look at team like the ravens as a dirty team. i just think its wrong. just cuz a team has been a very physical over the years and are known for making hard hits should not be looked at any differant then any other team. brady quinn neary ended suggs career when he hit suggs in the knee last year on a INT return, [it was a very dirty cheep shot] and no flag no fine. ray lewis hits chad johnson [sorry i cant spell85 in spanish] and the NFL fines him. not trying to rant and go on and on but i think the refs do go into games and look at some teams n QB`s in a differant way then others. does [lets say jason cambell] get the same roughing the passer flags as payton maning or tom brady? not the phantom calls i see happing a lot to star QB`s. i just hope the ravens are aloud to sack tom brady without a flag being thrown. the NFL protects its big name QB`s and thats a fact and its wrong if you dont treat every QB in the league the same way

BAL +3 - (1unit): my line has them even, so i'll take the points. Their defensive HOG index is not that better (14.7 vs 22), but the edge is till with the Ravens. Score: Ravens 24-Patriots 18.

The Post Randy Moss Era is about to begin for the New England Patriots, who are now out to prove they are still a title contender even without the hall of fame wideout. They will face a stiff challenge right of the bat, as they face the 4-1 Ravens Sunday in Foxboro.
The Baltimore Ravens look to be hitting their stride and have definitely emerged as one of the top teams in the AFC, as they come into Sunday’s game on a three game winning streak. Ray Rice had by far his best game last week against Denver, as he rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries. The rush defense also looked much improved after struggling through the first four games, as they held the Broncos to only 39 yards on 13 carries. Baltimore on the other hand pounded the ground, rushing the ball 47 times as a team for 233 yards and 4 touchdowns. Joe Flacco has been able to cut down on the mistakes recently, throwing for four touchdowns and one pick over his last three games after having only one touchdown and four interceptions in his first two games. The Ravens didn’t have to go to the air very often last week against the Broncos, and in fact wideout Anquan Boldin only had one catch for eight yards. Baltimore is ranked second in the league allowing only 156 yards a game through the air, but showed they weren’t impenetrable as Kyle Orton threw for 314 yards and two touchdowns against them last week. The Ravens will face a much more accomplished quarterback on Sunday in Tom Brady, and the Patriots won’t be afraid to air it out as well.
The New England Patriots may have lost Randy Moss, but they were able to go out and replace him. Tom Brady has been reunited with the wideout that helped him win one of his rings, with former Patriot Deion Branch returning to New England. He will fit right in with a receiving unit that is now a bit undersized but loaded with speed, with Wes Welker and Brandon Tate out on the edges. New England has started to rely more heavily on the run game this year ranked 13th in the league with 122 yards a game, and I expect that to increase as well as the year goes on primarily on the back of BenJarvis Green-Ellis. New England’s defense has been giving up huge chunks of yardage both through the air and on the ground, with opponents throwing for 272 yards a game and gaining 112 yards on the ground. The Patriots will hope to get another huge effort out of their special teams, with Patrick Chung and company accounting for three touchdowns last Monday night.
This line seems a bit tricky to me as I would have expected the oddmakers to have this line reversed. I expect New England to come up with the big special teams plays like they had against Miami, and the loss of Moss? No Big deal!! He's Cancer! I look for The Pats to control this game in their house. Baltimore gets exposed. Pats Out score the Ravens who Averaging 18.4 PPG vs Tom's 32.8.
