The Saints tasted defeat for the first time this season in a OT home loss to the Falcons last week. Carolina looks like they are playing for a number one pick next season. Just can't side with these Panthers.
Pick = New Orleans-13.5 pts.
My Guesstimate = New Orleans-31 Carolina-13

My first instinct says go Saints. But it's too many points in a divisional game. Home dogs getting more than 13 go off at a 60% clip and in almost all cases it feels like the favorite should cover. 13.5 in particular is good for the home dog, Gotta take Carolina.

panthers have always played well against this team but i think this is a blowout . Matt moore was not very good at all but i believe they should have stuck with him instead of jimmy claussen who just does not seem ready to take a number 1 job at this point , carolina will really have the`yre hands full here and will probably run a lot in this game and if that does`nt get going they have 0 chance i love the saints here to blow out the cats -13.5

leaning the other way here until i find reason to jump ship...
panthers are 6-1 last 7 ATS against the saints and 4-1 ATS and if there's one thing i've been saying since last year it's that the saints can be run on. I'll check the stats, but i saw what gore and turner did to them last couple weeks, just as AP was doing to them before the vikes decided to quit running and hope favre could shake the rust.
John fox is a great gameplanner, and i think the saints stock is just a little too high right now as they are laying spreads that indicate they're going to win the superbowl again this year, when in reality they're not quite as good as they were last year. Point being, at the moment they are catching inflated spreads and the public keeps taking them despite the absence of value.
I need to see more on this one before putting money on the panthers, but I do NOT like the saints in the bounceback game here. Leaning CAR +13.5 and I will be watching that spread throughout the week.

On a parlay at 5dimes I played Carolina+24(-505). That's alot of points at a decent price. This is the NFL not college so I'm confident in my +24 parlay pick.

This is the game that I am sure to see the old Saints of last. Panthers is showing signs of a downward spiral and Saints is playing tough against each oponent. At home and on the rise with too much expectation on them is making the public think that they are not as good. Other teams just got better and that is a fact. Itr is early in the season but I see the high powered offense balanced with a better defense. This is also the biggest spread yat by the Saints and last week with the Vikes was the same. Vikes covered. Saints takes this game to the bankk.
Saints 49
Panthers 17

My mistake, the numbers are right, but I meant a divisional road dog. 53-29-2 since 85'. Divisional road dogs getting 13.5 are 16-3 ATS since 85'. On a side note if you like the Lions divisional road dogs are 6-1 when getting 14.5.

Divisional game and Claussen isn't the issue, it's the Saints run D. The two headed monster will strike and put up 3 TD's. This should be a pretty high scoring game, but I like the Saints by 10, running the clock in the 4th.
Carolina - 24 New Orleans - 34

I see that a lot of bettors are going by the fact that Carolina beat the Saints in January but remember that Saints sat out a lot of starters to get them rested for the inevitable Play Offs and then the Super Bowl Championship. It was a game that the Saints did not need and I personally think that Sean Peyton was smart on the move of sitting out his top players. This game on the other hand is in the beginning of the season. They will definitely find their groove and especially at home. Panthers let TB score 20 and SF 20 at home and the once hot NY giants 31 in NY, what do you think this pissed off Saints offense who still scored 24 against ATL. All Im saying is that Panthers obviously cant play away or home for that matter, and has not yet played an offense such as the Saints. Bush or no Bush, Saints will destroy and make a point in this game, all in the cost of humiliation of the Panthers. The spread set by Vegas shows that they too know that this wont be a close game at all.
Saints 40+ points
Panthers 14-21 points

Panthers have lost their way. I live here and have watched every down. Can't run, can't get the ball to Steve Smith and can't block for rookie QB. Facing a pissed Saints team - this will get ugly early. Take the saints first half and game and in your teasers. Panthers don't even want to play this game.
