Lions for me in this one. They just have the bears number for whatever reason. I don't want to know how they do it. It's just a matter of fact. First of all the Bears shouldn't be favored coming into the dome as they play outside and on natural grass. With the Lions having the bye week, they are suddenly healthy with absolutely no injuries. Matt Millen is gone, and because of that Rod Marinelli is coaching to save his career and lifestyle. But have no fear. The Lions are 8-0 ats as home dogs of 3 or more points when playing against an opponent with a less than .600 record. Then if that's not enough, they are 7-1 ats in game 4's and 7-0 home off non division straight up ats loss. Put them in a role of coming off double digit straight up and back to back straight up ats losses and they have a sterling 14-1 ats record the next game.
Chicago is in a bad position to cover in this game. Their offense is horrible and they rarely throw the ball more than 15 yards down the field. I'll roll with the rested healthy home dog that has underacheived this year.

Great post Watch . The Bears are my favorite team, and I know them very well. I can tell you a great majority of my "homer" friends are going to pound the Bears. "You'd be crazy not to right?" Well i can tell you that Lions have our number, and that place will be going crazy with Millen gone and the bye week. I never bet against the Bears, so this is probably a no play for me. Forget what they did to the Iggles, take the Lions to the bank

Want the bears...but i think the lions receivers are gonna run circles around the bears secondary. It was banged up by the end of sunday night. The lions big physical receivers are gonna have their way.

There's a reason why this line is only 3 1/2 - the Bears always suck in the domes & the Lions are just "due". I predict it all comes down to a last minute field goal, but either way, that 1/2 point should help. Take the Lions

This Coaching staff of the Lions are coaching the last of their games. Benching Smith is an absoulute joke, he has all the experience in the Zone Scheme the Lions are trying to run.
The problem with the Lions is the D, but Marinelli doesn't want to admit that because he is a D guy, with his son-in-law as D Cord, and all the ex Bucs he signed in the off season.
They have fallen behind 21-0, 21-0, & 21-3 in their 3 games this year.......is the problem really with the O?
I expect Kitna to start not giving a fuck about what plays are called and try to get it into Roy and Calvin's hands. They will start out trying to run the ball, but if they fall behind even 7-0, Kitna will throw up 50 pass attempts.
Don't have a lean yet for this game, need to see more in this coming week.......but I am leaning the home dog in a divisional game.
I will be back later in the week with more thoughts and a play.
GL Boys on your plays.

Kevin Smith out as starter, Rudi Johnson in.

Tommie Harris is suspended for this game.......that will give the Lions some running room.
The OC for the Lions was on the radio today saying he is going to open things up......that means that either Williams and Johnson have over 150 Receiving Yds. each.......or Kitna throws 6 picks and gets pulled in the 3rd Quarter.
With DT Harris being out, they will try to run with Johnson and Kevin Smith (if they let him get some touches this week).

Um hmm. Let me get my glasses. The loss of Tommie Harris is huge for the Bears defense, and should not be overlooked. Marcus Harrison is a rookie. Don't know who he is? He's the guy who will replace the guy. He has to line up against Backus and Peterman. Backus is an 8 year vet with a beard and hella kids and bad breath and everything, and Peterman is a 4 year vet who still knows how to get to nightclubs on both sides of the border and is the Lions bouncer. Not good. I think draw plays will be the order of the day catching the rookie off guard (no pun intended). He's gonna look like this in the 1st quarter and like this after the game.

Lions +4
ATS and SU both teams have won 5 out of the last 10. Not sure how that equates the them "having their number"
Lions are still a shit bum team with or without Matt Millen. Their defense is horrible, and the Bears have shown the ability to at least move the ball on offense. No Tommie Harris in the middle would normally hurt, except for the fact that the Lions will not take advantage of that.
Prediction: Bears 27 Lions 17
Bears -3.5
