I will start by admitting I am a big Texans homer, but I keep hearing this stuff about Houston not making the playoffs if Manning had played and I just don't see how people still believe this.
Let's assume the Colts beat the Texans in Week 1 in Houston, which is something they didn't do in 2010 with Manning, but for sake of argument let's put the Texans at 9-7 instead of 10-6, with the Colts winning the division.
Houston, Cincy, and Tennessee would all be 9-7, but since Manning is a world beater, you have to assume he would sweep the Titans as well right? Dropping them to 8-8. Even if Tennessee stayed at 9-7 Houston has the tie-breakers. I will let Cincy keep their win over the Colts and their 9-7 record.
Houston gets in as the last wildcard, and Cincy stays home. People keep acting like Peyton Manning not playing catapulted the Texans into the playoffs, and it's simply false.
I think Vegas is begging you to take the points.
Texans 24-14.

Sorry but i don't agree with your post at all, especially with it being a "lock". For one thing this is the playoffs. All teams are 0-0. That being said, are you really that impressed with Houston with their 3rd string qb, who are averaging 17 points a game with TJ Yates, going against a Bengals team who have played a much tougher schedule than Houston and have a qb that has rookie of the year stats. I'm not saying Houston won't win, but it's definitely not a lock. I believe home field will give them a 3 point win

One last thought before you place your wager..........
Baltimore Twice
Pittsburgh Twice
Houston
San Francisco
Denver
and Detroit in the pre-season..................
That make the Bungles 0-8 versus playoff teams this season..........
...........and soon to be 0-9
Good Luck Everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!
