Dallas at St. Louis (10/19/2008)

  Haslett could  be guaranteed to be the Rams coach next season if they win six for him, and they are 1-0 and suddenly have things to exploit in this game. StL Post-Dispatch: "Haslett would get additional money in 2009 if the team goes 6-6 or better under his watch, according to two sources...Haslett also has talked to team management about wanting to renew the contracts of several assistant coaches to have them return in '09 if he does as well."

Haslett and Al Saunders are extremely motivated professionals. They are freaks of the week!

 

Allright people - the only good offensive players (other than Barber & maybe Witten) are OUT!!!!!! - Romo - OUT!, Hurd - OUT!, F. Jones - OUT!, "Pacman" Jones (yes, I know he's on defense - bear with me people - - he is the big play return guy on special teams, though) - OUT! Who gives a Sh#$ about crybaby T.O. - has he been a factor this entire season with this "great" 4-2 "dynasty" that was the Superbowl favorite? - NO!! Who's gonna throw to him?? You really think the "Ageless Wonder" Brad Johnson, or {God forbid} Brooks Bollinger is gonna do half the job that Romo did?? I laugh in your general direction......

The Rams (much like the Cincinnati "Bungles") do have a decent team - and no injuries?? And they're at home?? And they're getting 7 points?? I'm getting in on this one while it's still a touchdown and before the line goes waaaaaaaay down - Rams all the way.........

You're right, I never saw Lilly's response, if I had, I probably would've stayed quiet, and kept taking your advice to the local book (which is what I plan to do after finishing this post). 

As a Redskins fan, it's hard for me not to enjoy the pending implosion of the Cowboys, but I still think they get the cover here.  Even Brad Johnson should be able to find Roy Williams and TO and I don't trust the Ram offense to score more than 17 points two games in a row.  That means the much hated Cowboys only need 24 to cover.  I'll still be on Dallas (may the Redskins forgive me).

Cowbillies can't cover the pass, no running game. Blitz Johnson every play. If Romo plays, he couldn't hold on to the ball any way, he may have 3 fumbles taking the ball from center, or throw the ball all the place with that bum finger, gee i hope so.

I usually don't share angles i incorporate heavily into my NFL weekends, BUT I am going to here based upon my assurance of this play...

Always play a team right after a good quarter back is injured. The team rallies and pulls for him. They want to show you they can still be a team without him, and they have his back...

I don't think that is secret sacred information or anything cp.  Dallas will cover this game, troops will rally and Romo might even play.

Just realized that my book actually took this game down, I guess they didn't know what to do when they heard the news about Romo possibly playing.

Yeah, I jumped on the Boyz early when I heard Romo was out. He's still a work in progress and often hurts the boyz more than helps. Brad Johnson for a couple weeks will make this team even stronger as Romo watches and learns how to manage a game and not play like a horses ass. Now they're saying Romo might try and play. Big mistake and a screw job on my bet if he does.

With Brad--Cowboyz cover the 6.5

With Romo ---they lose outright.

St Louis is coming off their game of the year last week. They got their first win and things started to come together for their running game. Meanwhile, Dallas seems to be falling apart at the seems with Romo's condition, Pacman Jones continued failure off the field and Roy E. Williams coming to town. Coming off bad performances three weeks straight they have something to prove. With or without Romo they will take that all out on St Louis this week. The Rams are still a horrible team. Brad Johnson is a good experienced back up and the 'Boys might even put up more points this week with him healthy rather than a 75% Romo. Take advantage of the line move from -11 all the way down to -7 due to Romo's injury. I like the Cowboys anywhere below -10 in this game which WILL be a BLOWOUT.

Brad Johnson may prove to be pretty good.  He did win a Superbowl a couple years ago.  Look what Kurt Warner has done with the Cardinals.

I love how someone said the rams are "surging". They're still pathetic and are playing a super bowl contending team. Romo being out is a good thing, Johnson will be able making throws short and long to baby Owens all day long. And Owens will put on a show. 150+ receiving, 2td+

Well said my friend...if Romo was playing this game, I was ready to jump ALL OVER the Rams.  He can't hold onto the ball with two good hands, how the hell would he manage with a broken finger?  The Cowboys I think grind this one out, but that 7 point line is tricky.  If it gets up to 7.5 tomorrow, I may throw some dough at it, but this just isn't a game you want to mess with.  Rams may still take this one straight up.  Who knows.
