Hey,  look at my previous posts regarding Dallas.   I've been RED HOT on Dallas games.  I called Dallas to cover in game 1 against the Jets and I called for Wash to cover +3.5 against Dallas.  Yeah, I called it wrong on Arizona v Seattle, but   I nailed it on the      Buffalo V New England  (OVER)  and   Denver v Tenn (Denver +7)

having said that....

1)  Dallas is inconsistent......at best...Dallas never should have struggled with San Fran or Wash.  Trust me..I actually watched the games..unlike some that may post on here

2)  I've seen too many Dallas games to count.  Dallas will break ur heart...trust me

3)  N. Suh should and could have Romo flat on his back.  at least 1 or more Sacks for N. Suh on Romo?

4)  It doesn't matter that Dallas is at home. Dallas is no better at home than on the road. Remember...Dallas didn't get a touchdown against Wash.   That's not good.  Yeah, I know they won...but so what.

Having said that..as of this post There isn't a line yet.  I'm thinking Dallas mite be favored -3  or -2.5.  It wouldn't shock me to see Detroit favored either.  as a lifelong Dallas fan since 1981  I have to pick....

Detroit to win the game straight up and Cover.    If u are having a hard time picking either side pick the UNDER.    Dallas obviously has trouble scoring and both teams are ranked in the TOP TEN in defense.  I know...some yahoos are going to say...." well Detroit can't win forever"          ..and U know what...  ur rite.  but Dallas....they are really looking shoody right now.  Yes...a Dallas fan is unbiased enough to say Dallas is looking shoody at 2-1 and tied for 1st place in their div.  There I said it.

Can't say I disagree completely with the Lions pick, yet don't think it's above a small play.  Suh and the front 7 should have success with the young center/guard combo of Dallas for sure.  Although they haven't been gashed on the ground, the Lions still give up a curious 5 ypc on the ground.  IMO, Dallas will try to run at whatever weakness is there, and there is something giving that stat, along with a heavy dose of screens to offset the aggressiveness of the Lion front.  The strength of the Dallas o-line this year compared to recent past is agility and aggressiveness in space.  In this game they will use that to attempt to counteract the sometime over-aggression of the Lion front.  Now and then that type of upfield aggression can be gashed for big gains with screens, etc. which is a Cowboys strength. 

Also, regardless of Dallas having trouble scoring yesterday, they still avg 412 yards a game and put up 24 and 27 on two solid defenses, and most of that was without Dez and Miles on field together, which will be case again.  Yet Dez will surely be more of a factor after another week's rest.  No doubt Dallas should have broken 20 points again vs Wash and blew it time and again.  But one game doesn't make that a Dallas trend as they scored TD's well enough two games prior against top level defenses.

On the flip side, Detroit has the weapons to hurt the Boys pass defense.  Calvin Johnson is the exact type big, fast receiver that creates big plays vs. Dallas.  Yet with the Dallas defensive front being 2nd vs rush and 1st in sacks, I wouldn't expect the Lions to run well.

There are other factors being considered yet I see the total being very close to where it should land.  IMO, Detroit is the better play than the under.  This game could put up points much faster than the first 3 games would indicate giving the individual matchups.  If one were big on teasers I'd suggest Detroit and the over being pretty solid.  Both offenses should break 20 with the game being close in the end.

And even though the Foreskins got the cover - don't try to tell me you weren't filling your diapers when the Cowboys had 'em 1st and goal deep in the 4th quarter, even though you didn't bet the game, and even though the Cowboys played ugly................ Anyways, here's your precious "insight" you're always looking for...........

You're on the Lions, playing in Dallas - Let's look at the game tape.......

Lions squeak by the floundering young Bucs, beat Kansas City at home (like, who couldn't do that), and barely squeak by the friggin' Minnesota Vikings?!?!? Now they're playing they're second road game in a row - while Dallas is on they're second home game and coming off a win?!?!?!?

Another "undefeated" (and I use the term loosely in this case) bites the dust..........

Matthew Stafford finally has to face a defense, and folds like a house of cards........ You thought Rex Grossman looked pathetic last week? Wait until you see this performance..........

Also, the consensus is Dallas can't run, but how good is Detroit at stopping the run?!?!?!?

Dallas - by gametime, you might even get some points............

Hola Quad.  as usual it's always great to hear your insight and I sincerely mean that.     You know what?   I agree with you on many fronts.     I hope I'm wrong.  I really really do as a dallas fan.    There is an old theory....          "What goes up..must come down"  and that pretty much sums up the Detroit Lions right now.

knowing this is a pick em game that's why I'm highly suggesting the UNDER.     the under is what I'm betting...so I honestly don't care who wins.  I prefer my team Dallas, but things happen.  If u want to watch a smooth offense watch the replay of the New England @ Buffalo game. That's what a high octane offense looks lke.  and Dallas is definately the exact OPPOSITE of high octane compared to either one of those teams.  That's rite....I'm saying rite now that Dallas isnt' even as good as....Buffalo.

Not sure why it's not obvious Dallas can score TD's and is a very capable offense.  Sure they didn't score one on Wash.  And?   Dez was mainly a decoy for most of game.  He wasn't even close to starting shape and still gave it a go.  He admitted after the game as much.  And the Boys planned the gameplan around not using Dez much.  So that's Miles and Dez basically out of that game.  Dez will be back stronger and a big part of this week's gameplan. 

Also, Dallas hasn't struggled to score TD's but in that one game.  The Jets and 49ers both field strong defenses, 11th and 7th.  Last I checked Dallas scored 3 TDs on each, and over 24 points on both.  And we all know Detroit has one of the top scoring offenses in the league.  While I don't love the over, I'm certainly not sold the under is the play.  Dez and Calvin Johnson are big play machines.  And even the defenses may get in on the scoring with both teams so proficient at getting to the QB.  Dallas leads the league in sacks, even though most would assume Detroit would get there more. 

     Blah- Blah-Blah-Blah!  If my father had tits , he'd be my mother. On and on ad nauseum! Let's get to the point here shall we. Yes - it's true the Lions have really not beat that great of teams, but they did beat them. They've been dealt a weak hand and capitalized on it. They even did this unheard of an won and covered on the road. In the meantime, Romo has actually shown some guts, winning and playing hurt! Freakin' wonders never cease. Should be one helluva game. But when the fat lady finally sings, the Lions will be 4-0. I really like Romo and the 'Boys here,but life's a bitch- get over it!
