Look for the Giants to keep up the beat downs against the Lions at home. The Lions have nothing to go against the Giants. Giants will win big.

    GIANTS -10

When was the last time a big beat down of the Lions by the Giants happened?

it is me or does this actually seem low... maybe because Detroit just slaughtered the rams...

I think the Giants will run both running backs all day on Lions...

I also like the Dome team Outdoors angle... if it rains the Lions are screwed... check out my post about this trend on Minn/NYJ game...

This game could get ugly quick!

The number is always inflated, the books know people like to bet the favorites. The thing about this game is are the Lions better than the Texans? If the Texans were spotted +10 @ home they would have still loss.

" The Lions currently hold a 23 game road losing streak, the 4th longest in NFL history"

The last 2 games the Giants' "D" has allowed 6.5 points a game and had 13 sacks.

The only way the NYGs don't cover is if Eli breaks a leg.
Good teams win games, Great teams cover the spread!

I think i like the over (44.5) better than the spread (-10) here.

Don't like Eli's int's lately, his turnovers could push this one over the total while getting DET a backdoor cover.

i'm looking at this more, but detroit has yet to get blown out this year (24-10 against the vikings was more of a sound beating than a blowout) and they still have a lot of holes on that team... ESPECIALLY if calvin johnson is out.  Their offensive line is poor and the giants have been rocking quarterbacks like it's 2007 (when they won the bowl).  Sounds to me like a recipe for 4 detroit turnovers and plenty of giants yards and points.  Not to mention that the only think that detroit has really been able to do this year is pass and the giants have allowed the fewest yards per game through the air and that includes games against manning, schaub, and cutler, all of whom are much more capable than hill and have much better protection from the offensive line along with more balanced offenses.

add to this that the lions are coming off their most epic blowout win in years and this has the makings of an epic deflation game for them.

Giants in a winning spot here,as their defense has limited opponents to 10 points or less ,in the last 2 games. Last game , a road win against Texans points to better games ahead. Am a little concerned that they might be looking ahead to Dallas next Monday. However, the Lions in the last 6 seasons have won less than 20% (ATS) the week before a bye. While congrats are in order for the lions huge win- it was still over the "Lambs"!

    New York - 28                                        Detroit - 21

    Lions +10                                   over 44.5

Dallas up next for the G-Men  Might get caught looking ahead.

I'll take the double digits. Lions have done well vs the G-Men at the Meadowlands  (3-0) LAST 3.

I was on fire last week. I hit the under in the Bears game,Redskins to win outright, Ravens to roll over the Broncos, and my upset of the week was oakland over SD. as far as this game goes i like the giants to cover easy in this one their front four will dominate this game at home GMen should take care of buisness. Plus i am a Redskins fan so when I say the shitty Giants will roll you could guaran dam tee it haha.

I have had time to think about this one. The Giants are hot. The Lions are coming off of a blowout loss. It's hard enough for a good team to follow up a big win. It's even harder for a mediocre team to do it. The Lions aren't a good team yet. Shit happens to mediocre teams when they smell themselves. The Giants defense is crushing good offenses. The money looks 50/50, and the public is backing a bad team. Taking the chalk. Giants-10 or whatever

    "N.Y. GIANTS (3-2)
Last week: 34-10 win at Houston
The Cold, Hard Football Facts: In their last three games, the Giants have outgained their opponents by 200, 262 and 219 yards – all against teams with winning records."
Good teams win games, Great teams cover the spread!

Lions have been playing very well vs'ing good teams only to come off short in winning the game. They have been covering as underdogs and I wouldn't be suprised that they fight the Giants good in the game.

    Lions to cover 10+

Call me a homer but if Nate Burleson, Calvin Johnson and Best were all 100% i would take the Lions to win straight up.  This team with any luck should be 4-1 not 1-4.  Make no mistake they beat the Bears in Chicago.  They waited a little long but were driving for a tying field goal against Philly.  Played a good team in Green Bay at Lambeau field and with any luck could have won that game.  This team is using their second string QB have as many good weapons as any team in the league and a D that is starting to Gel.  If the three above mentioned players play they may even upset the Giants this week.  I know all of you are going to say that whipping the Rams last week does not make them world beaters but this team is genuine and just starting to Gel.   I still think they cover the number this week,  The other thing if they win this week they are only 1 game back of the Giants in the hunt for a wild card in an other wise week NFC this year.

First the Lions are coming off a blow out win not a loss.  And obviously you haven't watched the LIons play this year.   They are not the same old dog team of the last 10 years.  I have watched everyone of their games this year from start to finish and they play great football and have been extremely unlucky this year all being playing with a second string QB.   Unfortunately they have a lot of key injuries this week or quite possbily this could have been their coming out party to show the rest the the league they are for real.

Careful with the Jets they are prime for an upset... Might wanna tease Denver up.
